He played test cricket for 10 yrs I think and from 2000-2009 he took 393 wk in tests, which is highest in those 10 years by any fast bowler. Statistically, he was the best pacer during his time

@@SimphiweNkande while that might have played a part ,I don't think it was the main reason He just got overshadowed by great batsmen (let's be honest,your average crowd enjoys batsmen more than bowlers ) .after graeme smiths 250 and that faboulous flintoff display. and he also didn't have the fame other overseas bowlers had(Akhtar ,lee,etc) That being said,I have no doubt race played a factor in him getting less spotlight

@@sroycze9284is race playing a part in Rabada getting seen as one of the modern greats? No. It's because he's the best in his country and on his day the best in the world. Does Ngidi get recognised at the same level? No, because he's not that good. Same with Ntini, Pollock and especially Donald were just better and as the new ball strike pair they naturally got more recognition. Same way Gillespie wasn't on the same level as McGrath and Warne. Lee and Akhtar exceptions because they were the fastest.

@Ea Sa except Smith s drop all other drops were quite tough. However India dropped simple chances in Adelaide . Except that one catch of Saha all other drops by prithvi shah, bumrah, hanuma Vihari etc were quite easy.

At 6:20 Sir Ian Botham said that 'Young James Anderson has lot of potential in, but he hasn't proved himself in test arena YET! That was in 2003.... Fast Forward to 2020, James Anderson becomes the highest Wicket taker for England in Test matches, and even Surpassed Glenn McCGrath to become leading wicket Taker in World in catagory of Fast Bowlers. Summary: Every Great one, was once a rookie.
