Does the watch receive independent gps/Multiband 6 signal if it is connected to the app with Bluetooth

No, it does not. The App updates all required settings via Bluetooth (it is not always connected, it only connects when you enter the Bluetooth mode). If you do not have your phone, you can manually perform a GPS or Multiband 6 time calibration. It firsts checks for Multiband 6 radio waves if they are not found it proceeds with GPS calibration. You can set the watch to automatically calibrate daily

Buy the GPW-2000 while stocks last. The GPW-2000 is the most advanced analogue G-SHOCK Casio has ever made, because it has three way time sync (GPS,Bluetooth and MultiBand 6). The GWR-B1000 Gravitymaster loses out on GPS functionality. You may also want to look at the older GPW-1000 instead of the GWR-B1000, since it has more presence on the wrist

@@billscully2521 You're welcome. For me the GWR-B1000 has nothing special going for it other than the full carbon fibre construction. Even the older GW-A1100 (which has a compass) has more useful sensors than the GWR-B1000. Lately, Casio has been trimming down features in their watches and going for simpler designs to appeal to the mainstream watch buyers. Therefore I believe the GPW-2000 is the last true Gravitymaster. Still the level of craftsmanship and quality on the older GPW-1000 is unmatched, this would be my pick just in terms of look and feel. The GPW-2000 is also a good choice if you want a tech filled analogue watch. Just don't buy the GWR-B1000 if you don't already have the GPW-1000 or GPW-2000. You'll be missing out a lot pre carbon core guard era G-SHOCKs' in your face approach to design and build. The carbon core model is okay as another Gravitymaster but not your first Gravitymaster

Liked & Subscribed :) I was just wondering, if you set your alarm to 6.00am on your GPW-2000. Do the hands not quite line up on yours? Mine shows slightly left of the 6, and slightly left of the 12 in the small dial.

Thank you :) I think you need to reset your GPW-2000 watch's hand home position, as this is not normal. Here is how to do it: Go to page 19 of the user manual support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/009/qw5502.pdf then follow the instructions, the watch hands should be aligned after following all the steps!

Yeah you're absolutely right! It was the first watch with 3 way time sync (GPS, Multi Band 6 and Bluetooth) and leaving the MRG-G2000 no other watch has managed to do it since. You can no longer buy a new Gravitymaster or an MRG with GPS
