This scene and the end cutscene is what makes my pea sized brain light up from how spectacular and inspiring is, just having a mute main character puts the icing in the cake! Having the ability to choose different planes for the formation cutscenes really just makes the game so amazing along with its glorious, albeit painful, gameplay.

While I disagree with it being the best, Id say its certainly one of the greatest ones. The sense of dread in the beginning and then slowly a glimmer of hope with how Trigger starts to get an edge against the drones. The soundtrack is reminiscent of how the rest of the squadron might have felt watching their best take on the twin drones. That sense of dread slowly turning into hope and then into glory.

Were you using the Skies Rebalanced mod for this one? The flare count was way higher than the "vanilla" F-22. And flying through that tunnel at speeds above 2000 is nuts, especially with this mod.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t like how ace combat doubled down on the impossible movement planes can make as well as the cheesy AI just teleporting away from your missiles just to stretch out the duration of fights. Not to mention you don’t immediately crash or blow up after hitting the ground

Count was a bullet sponge for Trigger. Without Count there, Trigger would have been the one to eat lead and the mission would have ended in failure. Count saved Trigger's ass. Besides that, I think he also felt like he owed it to Trigger to at least try to keep up and help, especially after how much shit he gave him back in the penal squadron and when they were first assigned to the LRSSG.

Is it bad I want just one game like Ace Combat, where the Protagonist isnt silent. Where you get to choose from multiple options of dialog and that effects your characters personality. And also your mission objectives. Like one mission you could choose between attacking an ace pilot with a damaged plane whos retreating. Or rescue ground forces/ fellow planes in trouble.

Closest you can get is AC3 (japanese version) with it's multiple endings, AC0 with how you deal with enemies and it affects the future enemies and cutscenes and AC5 with the yes and no for dialog

According to Acepedia, Trigger piloted an F-22 at some point in the game's story, but it doesn't specify when this aircraft change occurred. I know that he switched from the F-16 to the F-15 at Base 444, but after that, it's not mentioned exactly when he made the transition from the F-15 to the F-22. I thought someone might know when this happened. But he really made this transition. Some People says that he change his aircraft on the final mission, Others says this transition before..maybe between anchorhead raid...and farbanti war...i really dont know..

As referenced many times in the game, trigger is a pilot who just goes straight in the face of the enemy...

The crazy sharp turn maneuver is called a "post stall maneuver". There are many guides on how to do it on youtube. Just search it up.

1. Have a plane that is generally accepted to have anti-stall in it. F22, Su30, etc. 2.When slowing down to just below 500 knots more or less, just above stall speed, Tap both the throttle and airbrakes simultaneously and pull-on stick in quick succession. Feather throttle to prolong the maneuver. 3. It's recommended to switch triggers and bumpers for throttle for easier psm(post stall maneuver)

Why are you using a Raptor on a carrier and why are there Eagles on a carrier? Ace Combat (On PS2 anyways) has ALWAYS respected carrier-versus-land-based aircraft differences and never had land based aircraft on carriers, except for the final launch on the Kestrel in AC5.

because fuel and damaged planes meant you and count needed to land and get repairs and a grounded carrier that was to deliver jets was the closest available place with facilities to do that... and it's literally a reference to the Kestrel, that's why.
