Great video, though don't forget that they managed to retcon his original Jaster Mereel name as an alias Boba used while on Concord Dawn and on some jobs as part of the legacy that Jango instilled on him due to his cherishment of his adoptive father - making the oldest incarnations manage to fit together with the 2002 and onwards material. In both Jango Fett Open Seasons and the Bounty Hunter video game its repeatedly brought up that part of his motivation to have a son was to carry forwards what he inherited from Jaster. Even the insignia on his chest plate is one that Jaster used, and is seen on the ship Jango inherited from him in the Bounty Hunter video game before it is destroyed and Jango acquires the Slave 1.

When I hear the voice of Boba Fett in my head, it's Jason Wingreen. I think I generally prefer the original conservative Legends Boba but there are still some cool things about clone Boba. Then new Boba is too disconnected from his past characterization, even if we only count the movies.

My ideal character is the conservative clone Boba because I always liked to think Jango was an idealist with a grudge against an order that shook his way of life.

30:54 His bounty is actually the result of an interesting era in the Empire. Where Palpatine was trying to decentralize his evil, Rather than have the main Imperial Army/Stormtroopers murder civilians, or even directly ordering Maloc to murder civilians the Imperial Military merely gave him an order that would be IMPOSSIBLE to follow if he had to haul 700 prisoners with them, while forbidding their release. He read between the lines and murdered them, then the Imperial military hung him out to dry for the locals and the Imperial Senate which still had SOME power at the time.

I really would, that's my headcanon fate for her in Legends. 26:28 Honestly her needing his help to THAT degree was silly, He could certainly have provided several interesting extra dirty tricks but that whole section of the novel was just Karen Traviss dragging Jaina down to build up Fett and it didn't make much sense. Also the Remnant fleet not IMMEDIATELY mutinying when Pellaeon was killed is a laugh. The Remnant was not a state with a navy, it was a Navy with a state, and that Navy all but worshiped Pellaeon. He literally told the Moffs he would take the fleet and leave to the New Republic if they didn't join the war with the Vong outright.
@Etherman7 Жыл бұрын
Totally agree. As much as I love the Mandalorian lore that Traviss was very helpful in building (comics did groundwork but not nearly enough for a full culture), her books in those series were always jarring in how they stole the focus from the rest of the galaxy and went all in on the Mandalorians. I still liked the idea of a Jedi learning from the Mandalorians, and some level of peace reached between the families but it was a weird way to do it.
