Lore of ALL Genshin Characters Dumbed Down to a Single Sentence

Were you ever confused about the stories of Genshin Impact characters before? In this video, I attempt to summerize the backstories and lore of ALL playable characters in Genshin Impact in a SINGLE sentence. Super simplified and dumbed down so it's extremely easy to understand. With so many lore behind all Genshin characters, this will dumb down them all into a single sentence!
This video was made during Genshin Impact patch V4.1. Obviously with more characters to be released in future regions and patches, maybe I'll make an extended version of this video in the future. I hope you enjoy!
This video was heavily inspired by ‪@NickyBoi‬'s League of Legends champions lore video. I loved it so much since I used to play League of Legends for a very long time, and wanted to make a Genshin Impact version of the idea to enjoy the story of characters with the community. @@akarirei Even if there is no in game confirmation, simple deduction will lead us to say Capitano is rank 1. He is highly regarded by other characters in terms of his strength alone. Also Childe and Wanderer's voicelines listed the harbingers in order of their confirmed ranks I.E. Dottore -> Columbina -> Arlecchino. Guess who is listed above Dottore. Capitano.

The thing I find most commendable about Fischl is that despite her knowing full well that her fantasy isn't real, she embraces it nonetheless and makes it a core part of herself. Fischl is not the Fischl in the book, nor is she simply Amy, she is Amy trying to be Fischl knowing full well that Fischl isn't real. That's just her way trying to be the best version of herself she can think of.

I PRAISE YOU FOR GETTING HER CHARACTER. Like I know some people do it for the memes, but I'm really tired of her just getting simplified to a delusional chunni or an immature teen. 2.8 was a beautiful showcase of her character, because she's NOT just an immature teen stuck in innocent childhood years. She's well aware fiction isn't reality, but it was her coping mechanism and she ran to it, and she hated herself for that cowardice. Up until 2.8 where she learns to instead of running to 'Fischl' and hating 'Amy', she needs to accept herself as neither of them, to find and aspire to her own identity between idealized fiction and a harsh reality. Honestly as someone who relates to her love for fiction and escapism tendencies, it really sucked to have 2.8's main reception not be "Oh, this is actually her character" but "WELL SHE SHOULD GROW UP-" completely missing the point of her arc. ok i'm sorry i talked a lot but Fischl's just so heavily misinterpreted and it sucks seeing as she's such a unique moral that i don't see done much.

I feel like because a lot of players just skip so many dialogues, their understanding of many characters are entirely based on memes or superficial indications. Like how Paimon gets reduced to “want to eat food + annoying” or Venti to “drunk + useless”. This isn’t usually a problem because they can do whatever they want with their games, but the frustration comes from those who know very little about these characters yet act like they have figured out everything.

Qiqi’s backstory is so tragic though! She gets caught in a battle between adepti and demons…well to be more precise, I’m pretty sure it was a Yaksha fighting demons. And unfortunately, it caused Qiqi to lose her life. And she got pretty much “reanimated” out of guilt and is kept alive by Baizhu. When she got “reanimated” is around the time she got her vision too. It’s also sad that she loses her memories so often :

Ehh quite off😅 it's way worse. Qiqi was a herb collector when she was younger aswell she was send to collect herbs from dragonspine she accidentally fell of a cliff here and went into a cave to heal her wounds. The demons and adepti where fighting nearby and accidentally hit the cave which caused it to crush Qiqi entirely. She gained her vision right before she got crushed with her last thought being 'I wish i could see my family again'.Both sides stopped fighting and the adepti full of guilt for having killed and innocent young child digged her up and saw her broken body, bones twisted and turned to places it shouldn't have. They decided to revive her without knowing the consequences. The immense amount of adeptal power given to Qiqi was so much that she completely went out of control and started killing everything within her vicinity. Deeming her too dangerous to walk around Mountain Shaper locked her up in amber. It is said that Qiqi's family never closed the door waiting for her to eventually return to them. After centuries of being locked up in amber some mountain climbers came across the little girl trapped within the amber, wanting to give her a peaceful passing they reported the news to the Funeral director who said they should get the Qiqi to him (This was Hu tao's father). When the mountain climbers went back to get the girl the carved out the amber and took it with them on a cart. During the long road back the cart fell over which crushed the amber and freed Qiqi who immediately ran into the mountains still feral and insane. Baizhu came across the little girl and gave her the sigils which can be found all over her body. These sigils are there to keep her sane of they are removed Qiqi will once again go into an insane state.

@@user-mz6zn1od9h Yeah, I remembee digging into him once- Sadly, there isn't much about him. We know that he was once a Vision holder, but he used it for bad stuff and so he threw it away. But despite that, he was taken in by the Inn and now spends his days fishing and being a NEET. (And also eating food made by the Wangshu in Chef) There was a theory that he may have been some kind of an agent for Ningguang/the Qixing, and thats why the Inn took him in despite him having nothing to offer, but yeah, since 1.4 we got no more info about him and it sucks

Also, some of the best character quests were not fullybabout the characters in questions (like Venti, Childe, Yoimiya and Tighnari), but also about NPCs related to them.

And I haven't seen anyone praise those characters' story quest as much as Raiden or Zhongli's second quest, which both focuses less on the NPCs

Well, she did several small things that were reasonably smart (hiring Beidou's crew as mercs for one) but that is mostly overshadowed by the hilariously obvious mismanagement of her army and not bothering to look into their 'anonymous donor'. Hoyoverse really dropped the ball when writing her parts of the story. She comes off more like an 'armchair general' than anything else. At least she is good from a team building perspective.

I honestly think the Furina we've met in game is only a part of her. I suspect that what we've interacted with is something similar to what a hydro mimic is to an Oceanid. I think the rest of her is in the Oritrace core and has been since it's creation and for some reason Furina isn't privy to what the rest of herself is doing in there. She acts for the public because that is her role. To assure the people that everything is 'normal' while most of the archon's power is being used for whatever the Oritrace is doing (the intention likely pertaining to the prophecy). This is just a theory though. We'll see what happens next patch. I could be completely off the mark.
