I didn't read the latest updated lore,but J4(the real one) did disappear for quite a while. the oldest origin was, J4 was captured by Swain and J4(LB in J4 outlook) head back to Demacia and claimed that he escaped from noxus and started a war between 2 parties........which was in swain's plan
