The Chinese names for the Loongs are slightly more descriptive: Red-bearded Loong Little Li Loong ("Li" refers to a black dragon) Teal-Backed Loong (The Chinese word can mean, "blue," "green" or "black" -- the game uses "cyan", but it rightly should be a darker colour than that, and I think "teal" fits a bit better.) Little Yellow Loong "Little" would seem like a strange descriptor since the loongs seem relatively large and old. But it probably refers to their status; in the overall hierarchy of loongs, they are of very minor rank, just river dragons compared to the great sea dragons (e.g. Wukong took his staff from the East Sea Dragon King--who is possibly the highest ranked of the earthly dragons.)

Chen Loong belongs to the zodiac system related to time and universal orders. there are 12 different animals of them, 6 male 6 female. meanwhile the river loong lords are keepers of their rivers in charge of aquatic lives and regional rainfall(obey the celestial court‘s orders), above that there are four ocean loong kings who are keepers of the four oceans(journey to the west happens in a fictional universe with 4 oceans)

There actually is another better hidden lore behind this one. The 4 loong brothers are not real sons of the loong king. But rather they are components. In the original journey to the west novel when Wukong battled the yellow wind sage, he got help from Buddha Lingji. Lingji gave Wukong the wind tamer, which you also find in the game that nullifies yellow wind sage's wind. But what actually caught and subdued yellow wind sage was an artifact named "8 claw golden loong staff". In this game if you beat all these 4 secret loong bosses you will be able to craft this very powerful staff. Even if you don't do any of these you will find the staff's action in the end of chapter painting if you move and zoom around carefully.

Usually I don't mind people pronounce things wrong since I understand it's confusing for foreigners, but since you are a lore channel I supposed you would be interested to know that "Loong"(龙） should actually pronounced just like "long", that's how it sounds like in Chinese. There's no need to pronounce it like "loon-g"

It is actually a small mistranslation in the game. The game refers to dragons as loongs. Because it sounds like 龙(Lóng) for Simplified Chinese or 龍(Lóng) for Traditional Chinese which actually just means dragon in Chinese.

Errrrr nope. The 4 Loongs are part of Lingji’s Golden Loong staff split into 4 as a test for Destined One to hunt down to recraft the staff for his journey. You can see the Lingji using the staff in the painting at the end of Chapter 2.

Cool note, Yellow Loong appears again during the Battle with Erlang Shen and the Four Celestial Kings, seemingly under their control, he attacks the Destined One alongside the four kings as if being manipulated like some kind of weapon. Im unsure what the motivation or reasoning behind this is, as im very curious to see what happens in between Yellow Loong flying away and what leads up to his presence alongside the Four Kings during that fight
