Ngl as much as i wish there were more positive protrayals of Persephone and Demeters relationship nowadays, this is very well made! Great job at replicating the style while also (in my opinion) improving on it. Also good job with the framing, that can be tricky to pull off.

Thank you so much!! I tried my best at replicating the style, but there's only sm I can do before my own artistic quirks slip in XD but I'm glad you consider it an improvement!! I feel powerful B) Also yeah,,, same honestly- considering the original myth is all about the bond between mother and daughter, it's a shame the most popular modern interpretation is Demeter being a bad controlling parent. It's still a cool decision story/adaptation wise! I'm a sucker for familial angst and complicated family dynamics, but also I wish the good parent Demeter was also a portrayal we saw occassionally! It feels like we never do T_T

I remember crying reading these chapters. It felt like Persephone was not even being treated like a person with her own thoughts and emotions, just a doll, a trophy. I know lots of readers don’t like how Demeter’s been written. But when you think about her past, including everything she said at the trial, it’s very understandable why she acts like this. But it does NOT excuse her behavior to Persephone during the “intervention”. Throughout the story, so many people claim they know Persephone better than herself and try to make decisions for her thinking it’s for her own good. But little by little, Persephone grows and becomes more assertive, forming her own identity outside what she was born as.
