A friend of mine showed me this channel and I must say it's amazing. Not enough youtube videos on pathfinder lore (as a dm myself I do find reading all the pdf's daunting. Been going through them all one by one but still have lots of gaps in the lore, this has been filling them out quite smoothly.)

OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't let this channel and series die. I love this! I will pass this along to everyone I know and bring you as many views and subscribers as I can. Can you give a reference for Aroden being sucked into the starstone and experiencing tests? I always thought he simply found it, raised it, and gained Godhood. Also love the Golarion (The Cage) icon you use as your channel image. keep up the great work.

Thank you for all the kind words! I can reference that, I quoted it almost verbatim from the Hell's Rebels adventure path, chapter 4 "A song of Silver". (Page 69) Incidentally, if you enjoyed hearing about Aroden, that book has a great amount of info about his life, his church, his realm in Axis and his followers that I couldn't cover in one video without straying too far from the main topic.

I think a good place to start with the history of Golarion would be the history of the races, where they came from and how they get to where they are today.

That's a great idea actually! It might not be the next video because I kind of want to get started with some of the Inner Sea regions we teased, but its a great topic for a video down the line. Thanks for the suggestion!

Good stuff man. I have been looking to get more into the Lore of Golorian. I have played Pathfinder since the start but always played homebrew. I have been getting into the adventure paths tho having run Iron Gods am playing in Curse of Crimson Throne now and am preparing to run Rise of the Runelords.

I am really late to the party. I picked up the pathfinder adventure card game Rise of the Runelords and I love that game, but I got a "story replacement" for the card text locations. It made the game that much better. Now I find your channel and man, Pathfinder seems really good. Thank you for the videos of the lore. liked and subbed

You gonna go Lich in that game or something else ? I always play Wizards so that's just a natural choice for me but i have to say i'm intriged about how they're gonna present the Witch class, i love a good Warlock, i'd kill me if they put no connection between your Witch and it's patron in the story. I mean what if you want to play an evil Witch that gets it's powers from a rival demon lord like Lamashtu or something, i'd love for your choices to affect the story a little more than they did in Kingmaker. That game was more about the story of your kingdom than it was about you but this one seems a little more personnal and better suited to roleplay savvy players like myself. That's why i'm also super exited about the upcoming Baldur's Gate III, even if it's a little too close to what Divinity II was, Larian have definitly proven that they know how to handle any character you want to throw at them while still making it fun and unique in the actual gameplay part of the game. I have a lot of confidence in these guys, i just hope they don't go the Bethesda route where money concerns begann to really fuck with their creative flow leading them to re-realease the same games over and over again with different skins put on them. I'm specifically thinking about Skryrim and Fallout 4 when it comes to that, not to mention the 76 disaster and all the annoying mobile releases of games that should've been made on PC or console. It's the same reason i'm chomping at the bits for Bloodlines 2, though at this point i'm really starting to get impatient, it's been an entire year since they annouced the game coming out and they made it seem like they were already pretty close to having an Alpha level product back then, now they've pushed everything back some and it's starting to get into a Cyberpunk 77 region for me. In the sense that i completly forgot about the game and don't even know if i'm gonna buy it when it comes out anymore...

Sure, but he has to keep the rules in mind, at least for when posting on /r/pathfinder_rpg: "Time Between Posts You may link to content you have produced (whether a blog, podcast, video or something else) once per week. That means there must be at least seven days between posts. This is across all users, so please use the search function before submitting. Any content you link must be explicitly Pathfinder related. If the content is not explicitly Pathfinder related, it is subject to removal at mod's discretion. "

DHGameStudios we'll be sure not to break those rules though we don't really have to worry about it. The time it takes to make the script, record, edit etc means this might be once every 2 weeks roughly. Especially if the videos are longer in future.

Good Video, keep it up. Better sound quality and more consistent talking volume would be appreciated though. It´s a bit difficult to follow for a non-native speaker.
@VentureCaptains
@VentureCaptains 6 жыл бұрын
sorry about that, we've been working on ways to improve the sound quality since this first episode and I like to think it has improved but I've never really had an ear for this stuff. being more consistent with the volume is something I can work on for sure, part of that is due to me struggling with specific lines and picking the only take that sounded right, even if it was slightly louder or quieter than my norm.

Maybe use some audio tools for your voice or edit the gain/volume of the seperate vocal tracks to be more equal. I used Camtasia to cut some Videos and it was able to do that. I bet your software can too :)

Good video, solid information, but man your pronunciation of some of these names is dubious. Abendego is pronounced "Ah-Ben-Di-Gio", Celiax is pronounced "Chell-E-Ax", and the planet is called Golarion, not Galorion.

wait.. didnt aroden die at the world wound (and didnt get iomedae her spark because she was present when he fell?)
@VentureCaptains
@VentureCaptains 6 жыл бұрын
That would be rather hard, as it was exactly the death of Aroden that started the World Wound. Perhaps you are thinking of Arazni, Aroden's Herald who died on the attack on gallowspire trying to stop the whispering tyrant? As for Iomedae's Divine spark, its stated that she won it in the test of the starstone, just like Norgober and Caydan Cailean.
