I really wish Lorelei hadn’t slept with Christopher and Luke could have shown up the next day and they eloped. Then theyd come back and have a bigger ceremony with their loved ones later, that would’ve been a great narrative for this season to watch their early marriage

GabbersTalks2much -Luke loves Loralei in such a sweet, unconditional, honest and complete way. His happiness absolutely comes from seeing her happy. Her smile is like emotional ‘crack’ for him. He said it in so well in the ‘Fall’ episode of the ’Year in the Life’ series. “You think that I am unhappy and unsatisfied and I can’t convince that I am not. This, right here, is all I will ever need. I never thought in my wildest dreams that this would happen, that you and me, that we would happen” They both are incredible actors to be able to portray the emotional nuances of two people who really love each other. They don’t just say the words and go through the motions. They have a natural chemistry that can’t be faked. It is hard to believe that they are not together IRL.

Wonderful, but to late. Was Lorelai supposed to wait forever for him in hopes that he would have his epiphany. I'll give Luke this, He did when Lorelai said NOW or NEVER to eloping . BUT...he had it the next day after Tyler's car crashed into his diner. Lorelai had to cut herself free from by sleeping with Christoper. But my God, if only she and him had timed it better. We wouldn't have to see that 'Year in the Life" maelstorm of crap.

Lorelai and Luke = maze of love and circumstances... wonderful visual metaphor... they do end up together... in the dinner at the end... "Take all the time you need," Luke tells Lorelai... he wasn't referring to the 5am breakfast order for she and Rory... love abides for them... the last hurdle - Chis - if finally cleared, Rory grown up, she's divorced and he's divorced, each with a child... balance of fortunes...

April’s existence was utterly unnecessary. The character was ok but the way they wrote it made her seem so secondary. If they wanted a real curve ball for Lorelai and Luke it could’ve been Lorelai finding out that she was pregnant and Luke freaking out because he didn’t feel ready (especially after what happened with Jess), but obviously having everything solved by the end. April’s existence only made the entire storyline confusing, mostly because they had limited and isolated screen time. We should have had an episode where Luke finally defend Lorelai against Anna, or have an episode where April is more incorporated in their lives and not just Luke’s. The revival made up for April’s dismissal by having them sitting down for dinner as a family, but really that was it.

This scene is amazing, as someone who thought season 6 was so bad I like seeing these two are starting to get back to normal, I think they were so boring in season 6, everyone was they all lost their charm and I have no idea why, even before April season 6 was just the most boring thing.
