I mean can you name one power ballad singer that's on the chart right now? It's the era of Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat and Lil Nas X. Power ballad doesn't sell unless it's coming from a popular movie, and when there's no movie, the best those powerhouse singers can do is to sing at pubs, livestreams or coming to talent show like this......and go back to sing at pubs, livestreams after the show is over. Loren has a world-class voice, but there were many, many world-class vocalists who never becomes a star, that's just the fate for most of them.

Loren achieved her objective. Three rounds. Three excellent songs, and most importantly an original of hers in the final. Now everyone will be singing Loren's original song at every talent show...and she will get paid. I don't think Loren expected to win BRITAIN'S got Talent - with all the Brits in the lineup. Did a PBS Special with DAVID FOSTER ( 34M views of that here on KZbin) Duetted with Micheal Buble on last album, just finished a tour with Andrea Bocelli, and had a net worth of 2 Million. Any other contestants come close to that kind of success? NO! Her professional resume clearly shows she has had professional success and income and exposure. FYI she confirmed in a recent interview she was contacted and recruited by simon and BGT producers to come on BGT,.. So the scripted shocked ACT by simon and judges and her "back story" was a CON from the start. How UNFAIR to the other contestants by all of this. She is a much of an ego hound and phony as simon. they deserve each other!

@@cleigh8753 completely agree. She’s very good so I wish her every success, but her competing on BGT is completely inappropriate. She doesn’t live here, is already a professional, has an album released already on Spotify and has already toured and sung in front of tens of thousands of people. I appreciate sometimes that people go to other Got Talent countries instead of competing in their own, but usually that is when they go to a Got Talent with a LARGER audience to their own country’s version to compete on a bigger stage. She has specifically not entered AGT perhaps because it’s too competitive, and thought she’ll have a bigger chance to make the final of BGT. Very unauthentic and purely gaming the system. It’s a shame that she has taken the spot of some genuine every day person (like a teacher etc) who has a genuinely HIDDEN talent. Glad she didn’t win as that would have been very unfair on someone for whom it would have been genuinely life changing, but even as it is she took a deserving act’s place in the final. Hope this kind of farce doesn’t continue in future seasons

So she was guaranteed being on the show, and the golden buzzer made sure it kept her there. After the movie she released an album that sold 7 million copies. was on about every TV/news/talk show for a solid her promoting herself as the one you snag Never enough. She did a PBS special with David Foster ( 34 Million vies of that just here on KZbin). duetted with Michael Buble on his last album, and just finished a tour with Andrea Bocelli. And has a NET WORTH of 2 Million. Hardly someone who has been "in the shadows" or has not had any professional breaks. This was another one of Simon's scripted reality show stunts, and a phony con of acting like HE had NO IDEA who she was and she went right along with it. NO OTHER contestant has had or IS having the professional success with HUGE industry names like she has and is having. She is as phony and as much of an ego hound as good ol Simon,.. this was all about hitting 2 birds with one stone, recruit her for BGT and Simon to sign her to his record company. But how UNFAIR to the other contestants, that is what is si disgusting. I think it’s a good thing she didn’t win, because she simply didn’t need to. She was on the show for exposure. People now know who she is, and they’re ready and willing to support her. @@humanity9158 Loren was a prior contestant on the US TV talent show "The Voice" but was eliminated before the finals. Then came "The Greatest Showman". I am an American who loves Loren's voice, yet I was shocked to see her as a contestant on "BGT"! I understand the "logic" in her being there, as the US' own "America's Got Talent" regularly features others from TV talent shows all over the world, yet the contestants are told to omit the info from their bio presented on the show. Used to be "discovering new talent" - now it is helping promote someone or giving someone who had some fame before a second chance. I wish Loren well.
