Thank you for creating this video. I didn't know that the majority of portraits Raphael painted were for friends or out of affection. That makes me like him as a person a whole lot more. The highlighting and consistent treatment of the herringbone on the winter coat is phenomenal. Ot must have taken so much patience. And the hand so coyly holding the box is masterful. ^_^

I totally agree with you, personally think that the details in this painting are just so amazing, the fur on the collar of the coat, de detail of the golden herringbone on the fabric, and like you say, the box in his hand. those are such beautiful details, that make this painting so special
