As a long time fan of the sport and UFC, it’s amazing how behind the scenes Frank has remained. I’ve seen photos of him but it’s incredible that the Fertita brothers are always mentioned and brought up whenever the UFC is talked about but only Lorenzo and Dana were ever in front the camera while Frank is barely ever seen. I wonder if that’s a conscious decision or If Lorenzo simply has more reasons to be on camera more or not

Stevie Mac haha I dunno about that. I think there's a great many out there that coulda done the same. It's like when people say 'only Dana could do that job'. Disagree completely.

Robert Belyea altho I disagree with what the poster stated entirely, I still respect their achievements. What you’re saying could also be said to Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, or Zuckerberg. There are many smart genius coder out there that could actually pull off or created Microsoft if they intend to or if they have the vision. But they didnt. So many great negotiators and promoters out there, but they’re not Dana and Fertita bros. If you only want to take away people’s achievements by saying their skill set is dime a dozen then so are the skills of other great people. Plus you really dont know what Fertitas and Dana have to deal with on daily basis.
@richrobb29776 жыл бұрын
Im with robert on that opening line. Not too sure about that. Fertittas did not make it what it was. As much As it pains me to say This, DANA DID. He wouldn't have had the opportunity if it wasn't for them. They wouldn't have had the opportunity if it wasn't for Dana. Buying the UFC was DANA's IDEA. Fertittas owned stationary casinos. They had the funds. Dana had the plan. All three men deserve the credit, the fertittas would never have got to flip it for 4 billion dollars and got it to global recognition without DANA's promotional mindset. Why do you think he's still with the company, is close to being a billionaire, and owns 10% stake in the company?

I have to admit I'm one of those old school NHB (no holds barred) era fans who wasn't interested in the "new" UFC. I started watching around 1995 and caught up on the older ones on VHS tape. But by 1998 they had all kinds of new rules and fighters and I completely lost interest. Plus it was harder and harder to find on pay per view or even at the video store. The only reason I came back to the UFC was because of Royce Gracie's return in 2006 against Matt Hughes. From that day forward I have become a UFC and MMA die-hard. I love this shit and don't ever think I'll stop watching. The Fertittas and Dana pulled a miracle and I'm thankful!

To add to the story in a pertinent way. The Fertitti boy's parents were Texas Gangters, and like most Gangsters, Ended up moving to Vegas where the Big Time Crimes found a home.
