Listening in 2024!!! Damn she was an amazing song writer. I’m so thankful to have seen her in concert a few times. Although I was young and didn’t fully appreciate the lyrics. Her beauty captured me then. ❤

An amazing & talented woman! She became an enormous success against all odds. Came from a poor family, educated in a 1 room schoolhouse, married & pregnant at 14… then raising 6 children while writing her own music!

So thankful for the pill!! And thank God for people like Loretta letting it be known. 🙏💗🤘 there is a movement- that continues to grow. Yes, there are setbacks recently. Ownership of ones body is worth fighting for. I KNOW WE CAN do this.

Such an icon for women of her time! You didnt complain about/discuss things like this in those days. She was (and is) revolutionary!! Brave, beautiful, strong, witty and charismatic. Always has been and always will be. No words can fully describe this woman. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Would love to hear a new Loretta Lynn song after the terrible Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.

But not much older, I'd say. Many women had a hairstyle like Loretta's in the earlier 80s. Some men in the audience have 70s mustaches, but I don't see large pointy collars or extra-wide ties, and the men in the band don't wear bell-bottom pants. I don't know where my disdain for bell-bottoms comes from, but I think flared bifurcations look silly if you're not a carpenter or otherwise have to do with sawdust. Or maybe it's because all people I knew who wore those things as late as the 2000s were jerks.
