As a fashion designer, I swear to god Orlesian fashion is such a chef's kiss. I'm always so intrigued by them since the first time I saw them in Inquisition back in 2014. Tbh, it helped me developing my sense and taste in fashion design. Sure it's ridiculous sometimes, but that's what actually intriguing and spellbound so many fashion enthusiasts, including me. It's just marvelous ❤. The use of muted gold, with neutrals such as white and black and adding them with vibrant colors such as red or blue or pink is seriously genius. It's such a contrast to the....browns, that Ferelden always wear and use. They're way too....quaint.. so to speak.

I like the silhouettes of the gowns. At first they reminded me of flower petals but after playing again recently I realized the pattern on some of the dresses looked like those on moth wings. A very interesting mix of subtle and striking. But Vivienne is by far the best dressed in Orlais haha. When I think of Orlais I always think of Vivienne.

Orlais!!!! I have to say, it's kind of wild hearing someone actually have to list all the layers of animals stuffed into other animals in the "gift of flesh" meal. I felt bad even typing them all out for the wiki article. Thank you once again for another amazing lecture. I love the feeling of actually going to a university class and getting to study Thedas. It's such a great way to present the lore and make it all quite understandable and digestible, giving loads of context for other smaller videos past and future!

Oh, i do so love this. Orlais is my favourite thing in this damn series (beloved) and, tbh, it's not even close... Well, maybe Morrigan comes close, but it ain't by much. You were very comprehensive! And despite my love for it, you mentioned some things I didn't even know - especially wrt the Ingirsh! It was so much fun. The one thing I have to meaningfully add to is this: I know it was a 'joke' - serious joke, though it was, as I felt like the contempt was real - but I honestly think that The Game:tm:, while vile and deceitful by nature and abhorent in what it promotes, does bring some tangible benefits.Nobles use patronage as wins in The Game, which is a net benefit overall since they are sponsoring works of art and even furthering education. It is a lot different than merely going to war with your rival and dragging everyone down with it. Instead, humiliating the rival is more... sedate, even if more cruel - and you keep the conflict small and not dragging common folk into a senseless bloody war. idk, would I prefer it didn't exist and that those types of sponsorships could come about naturally? Sure! Do I think it's overall a net negative? It's a little murkier than that, imo, because although the practice is loathsome, not all the consequences are. Unlike war that destroys everything that it touches, The Game is a lot greyer than that.
