Hello! I was excited to see this new product because it could compliment my wired Lorex system, but after watching you run back and forth and the short detection distance, was a little disappointed. Actually really disappointed. The audio was strong, but without any pictures it would be hard to purchase this. BTW- love what you are doing around your shed! Keep up the great work!

I luv my Eufy S40 Solo cams with built in solar panel an 600lumen spot light. Battery Stays charged from built in solor panel an battery percentage stays 99-100% Always ' Never has any issues.

Hey man, great review. So I know you did this a little while ago I’m looking at doing two indoor cameras probably pan and tilt, I would like to go wireless battery powered just for ease, and I also need for outdoor cameras that are battery powered because I don’t want to run hardwiring through my whole house. I’m leaning more towards you Eufy 2cpro . What was your suggestions before what to use outside and what to use inside? Just based on your latest reviews since you have so much experience. Most important things to me are a motion light that comes on preferably a little bit more sensitive than 15 feet like this video, having speakers, And night vision. I know hardwired is the best route to take I just don’t want to go for the headache of dealing with an NVR etc. I really like the Lorax home system but I’m not sure especially after watching your video that their cameras are the best unless they have something newer out now since you’ve done this video that you would recommend

I have two Lorex wired, (gets power from transformer), WI-Fi doorbell cameras. The cameras themselves are nice with excellent image quality for a doorbell camera, but the audio doesn't seem as sensitive as the cameras in this video, plus they also have the same problem with wind noise. My major complaint, and it's a biggie, is that the notification time can be long...as in *_really_* long. Yesterday I had one notification take 1-1/2 hours to show up on my phone. This kind of defeats the purpose of a security camera. I have a brand new 5G phone with 5 bars of signal and a brand new Wi-FI 6 mesh router with 5 bars of signal received from the cameras. Another deal breaker, and it's a biggie too, is that unless I am at home and have the Wi-Fi on with my phone turned on, it takes about 40+ seconds to connect to a camera video feed. If I turn on the Wi-Fi on my phone it only takes about 3 seconds to connect. So if I'm away from the house and by some miracle get a notification, it takes another 40+ seconds to view the camera. If Lorex could get their app for Android to work these would be awesome cameras. The app had a 2 star rating until a week ago where a flood of 5 star reviews with almost no comment came up all within a few days - I smell a rat.

Sounds like an issue with your home internet. I have a 2k Lorex doorbell camera as well, and I don't have any issues with it. I have cable internet & I'm averaging around 120mbps.

LifeHackster, about these wireless camera systems with base stations. I have the Wyze outdoor setup for my house. Whether you connect the base station Wired or Wireless; how do you get more range/ signal strength from the base station? My home is only 1900 sqft and two of my cameras out of four have very low signal strength. The base station is getting excellent strength from the router, but my aforementioned cameras aren't getting good strength from the base station.

I usually set it up using WIFI instead of plugging it in the router (if that is an option) and I place the base station as close as I can to where the cameras are installed. I do have the base station of my Eufy in front of the house and I am still able to get reliable connection with the camera(s) in my backyard.

most new totally wireless cameras made today will actually link together to help extend the wifi signal so one or two camera can actually be used further from the home base than if you didn't have another camera in the middle to extend the signal. It works real simple. You just put your first camera close to the base unit so there is a strong connection there. Then you can experiment on how far the signal will go for the second camera (Different brand cameras have different ranges on their wifi signal) but most cameras have a 100 feet range on signal unless we start talking about the signal having to go through walls and doors, etc. That is why I put my base unit next to an outside wall in my office (For me, next to the window, even, lol) and the first camera on the outside of the house of the same wall so I know it gets good signal. Then I can pretty much place my next camera anywhere up to 100 feet of direct line of sight to the first camera and less distance if there are obstructions (Different brand cameras will vary in signal length). As you can see, the cameras have the ability to help extend the signal distance so long as they are close enough to keep signal with each other. You can then add a third camera even further out if needed, just as long as you keep it close enough to the 2nd camera. As long as the cameras can maintain signal between them then you can extend the distance of your surveillance greatly with this method. Just make sure that the cameras you purchase have this ability. If you are unsure then contact the manufacturer and you can almost always find reviews on the model camera here on youtube as well.

Thumbs down! My ring stick up camera looks like this video quality so called 2 K. I think 1080p resolution is just fine for most. I really don’t see much difference between 2K 4K and 1080p enough to have to pay a premium for the highest resolution. And if you want closeups then stick the ring cams all over the place and in the yard to be able to read license plates etc. I got mine on trees near the edge of the street and I can make out license plates just fine

I just purchased the 4 camera system with a door bell and after 3 days I had to return it. The camera quality was not 2k! The motion detection was no where to be found and the app was nothing but buggy. I changed the battery after 3 days and 2 cameras magically unsinked and could not connect video again. Don’t recommend at all.
