Why a Budget camera? I mean, If I am honest looking at the 2 cameras stats I would buy a camera that was less then 100 that really had just as good of footage as the UNV camera did. I mean sure the UNV camera can be found for 159USD used where the price is normally more then double that and I mean MORE then double.. Funny thing is I have an 8mp Analog camera that cost less then the Lorex that does better then both cameras in this video.. Then picking a camera that has same image sensor size don't mean anything when the camera you were using has a better F/Stop.. Why is my 8mp Analog camera better even using my 7fps AI DVR? Because my camera has 1/1.7" sensor and a F/1.6 the same Fstop that your UNV camera uses with much better sensor.. By the way, If you really want to do a Test why not use an 8mp camera that cost the same as your UNV camera? Because the truth is harder then trying to Trash another companies product... On my website I talk about what is needed for quality camera at night when it comes to 8mp IP camera and 99 isn't going to cut it.. SO I am clear I only own 1 Lorex Product and that is the 4mp doorbell that is really a 5mp lol.. I own more UNV built products.

We install both systems daily for the last 5 years. A good 10 Lorex cameras stop working after a year. Motion isn’t always caught, the app sucks, there are no analaytics, they are not NDAA compliant, the audio sucks, the motion triggering and LED lights are delayed. I can go on for days. It’s not ONLY about clarity. Quality and reliability matter too

@@stanborisov9421 Just like every line there is good and bad. Personally Lorex isn't my Flavor seeing they are lower grade Dahua then the Dahua and Amcrest cameras that I use mainly. Sure I have many different camera types from Alibi, Amcrest, Dahua, IcRealtime, LTS, Hikvision, Super Circuits, Samsung and many more. Most of my fleet is Amcrest and Dahua and while the App isn't always the greatest. It does plenty seeing I watch over my devices on DVR/NVRs for the most part. Use the app only for access while away. Motion is a joke on any line of CCTV and has been for a long time. That is why I prefer Ai cameras that have filters for humans and vehicles and makes getting alerts much better. The quality of a camera comes down to the hardware that is in it. Camera with 1/2.7" sensor on a 8mp camera on any line will be Junk compared to a 8mp camera with 1/1.2" sensor even with same lens and f-stop. But the price for a Unv and junk sensor cost the same price as a quality built Dahua or Amcrest with a superior quality sensor and lens. So might as well buy quality. And I am sorry but most of the Owlview I have seen so far, while it might have nice day looking night time picture the quality of video suffers because of the software in the camera has to render the image and doing so kills the quality.
