Gorgeous little bird, it must be scary being a baby bird on a perch in an open space. I'm sure he'll get used to it. If you insist on cutting his wings, please cut his primaries rather than his secondary wing feathers. If you cut the secondaries and leave the primary feathers, they tend to get caught and cause injury. I prefer to leave my birds flighted, but if you need to cut the wings, trim the outermost 5 feathers on each wing. That will cause the least pain and injury to the Lori.
