It was because he was incorrectly nominated as a lead actor just so “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series” would have 7 nominees (5 of whom were from The Normal Heart) and “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series” would have 6. It’s the same reason February gets the extra day every 4 years. But if it was the Oscars, I can pretty much guarantee he would have won for best supporting actor and he wouldn’t have been incorrectly nominated as a lead actor just to arbitrarily even out the categories. After James Gandolfini (whom the role of Malvo was originally written in mind with) died of a heart attack, it took a month or two to recast the role with Billy Bob.

@@sitaro1207 I don’t think the role was written with anyone in mind. JG was considered for the role and he would have had to get his weight down to 240. But obviously he died of a heart attack before he could even be offered the role. Several other actors were also considered for the role before Billy Bob ended up assuming it a month or two later.

It's scary being a minister because you have to deal with guys like this face to face. Sometimes you don't even spot them until after the allegations come out. One thing we've missed though. The Bible tells us the job of a minister is to be able to spot guys like this. That ministry attracts the wolves, the psychopaths, that it attracts them like a net, and then we can see them...

If I recall, Malvo wasn’t a lone-wolf. He had higher ups and seemed to be something of a contractor who also conducted his own little activities along the way so it’s possible those who employed him had measures in place, people to act as civilians who could vouch for him if he ever got caught and had a false story that the police would need to confirm. That’s just speculating though.

@@banshee1020season 2 is a hard yes. There are moments that drop off but overall the quality remains as good as season 1 some directional choices I'd say are better. The use of the colours are great. Season 3 is a slow burner for sure for the first half, not as good as 1/2 but when you get to the end is definitely worth the time you put in. Season 4 I watched a couple of episodes and that it was some weird woke trash, obviously tried to hard to push "the message" and the characters were just not interesting. The first 3 episodes of 5 are pretty boring overall, they put an interesting spin on a scene by scene copy from the film and what essentially is the characters from the original movie. Alot of it feels like a "what if" scenario going of the events from the movie. Some stuff makes total zero sense which totally pulled me out of the story *spoiler* example being there's a Welsh guy (being English I've met plenty of Welsh and his accent is totally off I thought he was Swedish or something when he speak) he's supposed to be over 500 years old due to a curse. Imma see where the story takes it but I've not got high hopes. TLDR season 1 - 3 definitely worth a watch especially if you enjoyed season 1 and the original film.

The human eye's ability to perceive more shades of green than other colors is attributed to the distribution of cones in the retina and evolutionary factors. The human eye has three types of color receptors called cones, which are sensitive to different wavelengths of light. These cones are typically referred to as short-wavelength cones (S-cones), medium-wavelength cones (M-cones), and long-wavelength cones (L-cones). The S-cones are most sensitive to short wavelengths, which correspond to blue light; M-cones are sensitive to medium wavelengths, corresponding to green light; and L-cones are sensitive to long wavelengths, corresponding to red light. The distribution of these cones is not uniform across the retina. There is a higher density of M-cones, which are most sensitive to green light, compared to S-cones and L-cones. This higher density allows for finer discrimination of different shades of green. Evolutionary factors also play a role. Early humans living in natural environments needed to be able to distinguish between various shades of green to identify ripe fruits, edible vegetation, and potential threats. The ability to discern subtle variations in green hues would have provided a survival advantage. While humans may be more sensitive to green, it doesn't mean they cannot perceive a wide range of colors. The human visual system is capable of discerning a broad spectrum of colors, but the emphasis on green sensitivity is a result of evolutionary pressures and the natural environment in which our visual system developed.

We see a lot of shades of green, because the world has a whole lot of green. Malvo lies because everyone lies.

No buddy. The answer is adaptation, Malvo lies because he is a predator and lying is good for him so he does it. As for the green, we see more green to be able to detect the predators hidden in the bushes. Makes sense ?

@@slylataupe4272 Well the dude who’s writing the answer seems to have already seen the show, What’s the use of him commenting what you have if it’s already been said? Why isn’t he allowed to be original and give a different interpretation? It’s sad you put time into commenting something the show already said, instead of being original.

I’m so new to this, but I think that Malvo has an air of arrogance to him. Think he wants to go down as one of the best, despite how badly he tries to suppress it under his professionalism
