Everyone needs to read this book, not only because Kate is so amazing, and full of strength and love, but because of the Doctors that try so hard with Derek. The book brings over to us just how much the Doctors and scientists were working in the dark, against something they didnt know or understand, but they all, everyone of them, never gave up, always trying, discovering, working. All the brilliant nursing and medical staff too. Remember when you might moan about having to be careful, just what this disease can do. Great book Kate :)

Yeah he does not have the covoid it has been gone but it did so much to his body he is having to recover from that but home is the best place for him to be around people who he loves Happy helps the body heal and being home with his kids and wife can only be good for him

My son was in hospital for over a year only 5% chance of survival he made it and is really good now wishing you all the luck

Even if that is the aim you have to think of the money it costs to look after a severally disabled partner, yes she will get NHS support an benefit support but that may only go so far when she is now the only earner. She has also openly said that she needs to make most of work incase she has to care for him full time...

You have every right to your opinion but is it shared with the full facts? I’m guessing that Kate has been the soul breadwinner since Derek became ill and bills don’t care that the family income has potentially halved. She has had to adapt the house and this has to be paid for so if selling a book helps this then so be it. Kate may be in the public eye but she is a wife and mum first and foremost and has to do what she has to do to keep the family together. Again, your opinion is yours and worthy of being shared but who knows what we would do if we were in the same situation

She more than anyone realises that others have it tough, tougher than her in some cases , and she wholly recognises that. Main breadwinner now with no doubt huge outgoings. I think she’s a very inspiring person and I wish her and the family all the very best.
