In the reality, it may not always happen, but always thinking that negative is going to destroy anyone mentally. It’s not wrong to have a little hope. It may not improve, but when someone’s struggling, being brutally honest and telling them this may do damage. I understand you, to be honest, honesty is a lot. But then again, these people want to wish them well.

I understand what she means when she says “there’s no alternative. She can’t fold”. My husband (not covid) was at deaths door incl icu and everyone said “you’re so strong”.:::: but really there is no alternative but to keep on fighting and believing.

Good luck Kate but this will be a long hard road to travel and your life is never going to be the same. I know because my husband had a massive stroke and never regained his speech or mobility. The love you share will sustain you but please take time out for you and your children. God bless

Sadly my father-in-law died of covid19. Many things went wrong in the hospital at that time. Respiratory was not really necessary, plasma was not provided. He was totally healthy and age of 60. I still cannot believe it. Kate is so strong and a beautiful soul. Derek's recovery is a miracle really.

Also yesterday they called my ancle that his wife woke up from coma, but today they told him that they have made mistake and it was a different woman that woke up!!! They told him that he needs to rush to the hospital now because his wife is dying!! What a mess!!!

Derek is the only person to have survived for so long and if Kate as a face on t.v. can give people hope with her story then surely that is a good thing. I am happy for everyone whom has made it, massively sad for others whom have lost loved ones, but definitely glad for Kate and the kids that Derek made it. Don't be angry please.

I think you are misinterpreting her agenda. Its Iportant to keep the horrific effects of covid in the mind of the public as it's not going anywhere. We all need to learn and remember that we could all be in her shoes, and she says that time an time again. She's got the money to do what? To live a year without her husband, without knowing what sort of recovery he will make, to comfort her children going through a difficult time? A lot of people feel an affinity with her, especially those in the same or similar position. I think she’s amazing. Lucky her she has the money, pls don’t begrudge her because of that. My own Husb came back from the brink of death (incl long time in icu) and let me tell you it is EXHAUSTING!!!! I wish o hadve had the money to help me thru his battles as had to contend with financial stress incl stress of Husb health..... but I don’t begrudge late that she can afford the help. It’s a good thing for her.... and for derek
