Stephen Fry is wonderfully modest and approachable, it's lovely to see him talk to Lorraine and find mutual interest. Stephen Fry of course is known for his intelligence - but there's something more important about him - his wisdom. Not all intelligent people are wise, and not all wise people are intelligent! The way he breaks down rather complex topics into the basic essentials really takes a special kind of wisdom. Our lives are overcomplicated with too much artifice these days. He teaches us to enjoy the simple things, the universal things. This is where he can share a bond with Lorraine - she's wise in her own way and bring a lot of comfort and smiles to millions of people on a daily basis. There is a special kind of wisdom in her manner and influence - so they share this lovely conversation as equals with the most important things in life in common.

For someone to steal your voice for AI, it should be prosecutable. There really should be laws against this.

Lorraine truly is a consummate presenter, it’s rewarding to watch such talent, and of course Stephen Fry is quite talented as well 🙂👍

Yes, AI is very very frightening. Who knows what havoc will be wrought, what with the utter gullibility of so many people these days. Just look at the nonsense they've already fallen for...

If you can copyright your face and name - why not your voice?

Copyright. It's about legal rights, not writing.

i'm sure there will be. OR is already. A face is also protected, hence Fifa games having only some of the footballers, they licensed. The real problem is to enforce that. Or just prove it.

Only on Lorraine do you get 'Indeed... the end of the world as we know it. Now, what about you and Strictly?' Like being in a suburban coffee morning with SUVs outside and a pike of Prozac

I am so lucky, both of my parents are Northern Irish, so I have my Irish passport, meaning travelling to Europe is very easy.

I don't remember which Harry Potter book it was, but when I listened to the audiobook after reading and watching the works, my mind was blown. I was awestruck and couldn't understand how one single person could voice all those different characters perfectly. He not only brought them to life, but they also felt like the actors themselves were talking. I'm writing a science fiction comedy series, and if I could afford Professor Stephen Fry to voice my books, I would totally choose the real thing over A.I. I'm being presumptuous, though. He would have to approve of my works to see if it's worthy. Hmmm, there are some jokes I put in that pokes fun of the Jewish plight and struggle against the Nazis during WW2. Hmm, yeah, I don't think he would do it.

If he would not record it on the basis of its content, you might want to reconsider what you are writing. Just sayin’

I prefer the AI version to his dreadful over acting in some of his P G Wodehouse readings

Wodehouse readings? He acted in the dramatisations. And he was perfect as Jeeves.

Ok, your opinion. But would you like it if there was your voice saying or promoting something you had nothing to do with, or agree with. And very soon your face and voice ...

I loved the Jeeves tv series, but Fry is utterly whipped by Jonathon Cecil reading Wodehouse. And find the old Wodehouse Playhouse, where most of the stories are played by John Alderton and Pauline... Is it Collins?
