Reminds me of a great marriage! Husband is the rectangle, wife the circle! Different but where they overlap, perfection!

Love, love, LOVE this. I had not seen circles before and can't wait to try it. I love the wispy look, I think it is my favorite.

@@LorrieBrewer , i ran with your idea and did a diamond shape, a heart, and a teddy bear 😂 I'm using the world's smallest blower for my air, and i keep forgetting to turn it off when I'm adding more fluid or ink and i end up splattering it before it hits the paper! 😂😂 But I'm getting better. I really can't thank you enough for your videos. ❤️ I've also used a fill-able water brush (filled with the blending solution) and used it to try drawing flowers haha! Thank you for being such an inspiration ❤️

You’ll get there as long as you hang in there with it. It can be tricky to learn, but it’s worth it!

gorgeous! I was just playing with ideas of how to create geometric shapes to create a mid century modern artwork commission for a client. Grabbing my old canning jars now. Thank you !!

I’m going to try and attempt to do this tomorrow. You make it look so easy I’m gonna try so hard not to blend my colors

Thank you so much! I’m glad I went with the “hot” colors for this one. They really do make the painting pop.

I’ve bought your drier from Amazon and I live in Australia 🇦🇺. The postage was so expensive and now I’ve found I can’t use it because it is 110v and we have 240v in Australia. You can’t use an adapter for the plug but it is dangerous. I’ve been trying to find one here but it’s so hard as our our brushes have such high wattage. 1200w. I have a travel hair dryer which is 500w but it’s too hot. I have a really good hair dryer which has cold setting but the wattage is extremely high as it is a commercial grade hair dryer plus it’s too good to use and get ink all over it. I just don’t know what to do.

I wonder if you could use like a lite grey alcohol marker to trace the circle and remove the template then add your colors over top? Thinking lite grey cause it would probably interfere the least with the colors... I tend to be clumsy and am afraid I would put too much color down trying not to tip the template over lol
@LorrieBrewer2 жыл бұрын
That’s something you could try, but I’m not sure the inks would stay where you want them good enough like that. You may lose most of the actual circle from the ink spreading before it dries. I don’t have any ink markers so I can’t try that lol. I have never invested in any since I wasn’t sure I could get the depth of color that I do from the bottled ink. I really should get some and play around with them, though. You don’t need to use something tall, just heavy, to keep it from tipping easily. I just used what I had handy in the house that I wasn’t worried about staining. A glass plate would work just as good. I just wasn’t sure if our white ones would stain lol.

@@LorrieBrewer you could use a sharpie or bic mark it... I've used just markers for alcohol ink techniques (a good one is coloring a stencil with tjdm and spritzing alcohol over it to print it) but I don't think they would work too good for what you do. I was thinking of using it to trace and then use the bottled ink to go back over it

I just can't get that whispy look no matter how hard I try! I keep getting lines it doesn't flow out. Maybe it's the paper I'm using it just stains too quick. I'll give grafix a try, this yupo is driving me nuts . But yes, lines lines and more lines. I perfected the roses super easy because of it. It seems to be the only thing I can do :/
