I flew from San Diego to cheer on my Jags in person, felt like a fool at halftime but didn’t lost hope. Trevor played inspired lights out football in second half and his receivers/defense really stepped it up. Beautiful team win. Chargers fan next to me went from running his mouth to storming out in tears. It was a sight I’ll never forget, after so many disappointing years of being a jags fan. Its remarkable. Trevor Lawrence never lost until he got to the NFL. He was generationally good in high school and his team went undefeated his last 3 years. He never lost in the regular season in college, winning a national title and making the playoffs all 3 times. Only in the NFL in his rookie season has his team failed to win. As good as Lawrence was at the end of the first half and then unbelievable in the second half, the story of the game is the Jags defense. They could have given up but they pulled themselves up and got after it which allowed Lawrence to work his magic. Kudos to Pederson for keeping hope alive in the locker room at halftime.
