Hike with Nick through Solstice Canyon up to nearly 1000' and an amazing Pacific Ocean view. On the way you'll visit the modern ruins of Malibu's oldest home...the 1865 Keller House. Before getting on the Sostomo trail you'll get the chance to explore the ruins of the Xanadu like Tropical Terrace where the Robertson's hired famed African-American architect Paul Williams to create their dream home. Exotic plants, hummingbirds, waterfalls, peculiar abandoned structures, and some of the freshest air in Southern California are all found on this hike!

My late Husband and I loved this spot. Hoping it hasn't become an L.A. hot spot. Would love to see it again someday. Glad I got to see it before there was a KZbin. Glad this is the only video posted. Keep secrets so things can last.

@noodle26 Unfortunately it is not possible to camp overnight with a fire pit. Having fires in the canyon is strongly prohibited. Thanks for the comment.

@sweetmarley420 We did not pay or remember seeing a payment slot when we went. I would double check when you get there. The parking lot is small and super crowded on the weekend if you get there later in the day. I suggest going early or you will have to park on the street.

I think so. I gave tours of this place in the end of 2019 and nothing seemed closed.

Parking is free, but small lot fills up early.
