Interesting stat: when Wayne was with L.A., the team only played Canadian teams during the playoffs the whole time...

Mainly due to the divisional format. After playing the Rangers/Islanders in the first round of the 1979-1980-1981 playoffs, they didn't play another US team in the playoffs until the Blues in 1998.

Michael Meloche The old Smythe Division had Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
