Los Angeles (LAX) to Honolulu (HNL) Takeoff - United 747-400

I made this trip every month back and forth when I was stationed at Naval Station Pearl Harbor.... IF I remember right we set a record for Block to Block of just over 3 hours once back in '71..... the view still looks the same (lol)........ my Capt. on most of the trips was Capt. Brennen........... Thanks for the ride along.

I remember the days . Landing at HNL, 747s everywhere. The small jet was the DC-10. And yes I know a DC-10 isn’t small. But amongst all the 747s it was.

This route is now flown by UA's 777-300ER which replaced the 747-400.
