Because the original usage of stars was angels. Also that's why the paramount logo is the stars falling onto the mountain. The mountain = mount herod. So they are literally showing you in the logo before movies of the angels falling to herod. Also Hollywood is always mentioned as Hollywood magic. Witches and warlocks do magic. That young girl on the street who has only been at it for 6 months seems so sweet and hopeful. The streets haven’t broken her down yet and I hope she gets out before they truly do. It’s such dangerous and demeaning work, the girls have to convince themselves they like it just to get by. Otherwise they couldn’t do it anymore. It’s sad that as a woman, you can always resort to selling your body if you need money. Women tend to be more emotionally affected by intimacy than men, so this line of work can really break them down.

@WhipItSBreezy4 ай бұрын
Born and raised LA native here for 25+ years, LA has without a doubt gotten a WHOLE LOT worse. It's an everyday thing. Groceries cost most, rent cost more, hot days are hotter, cold days are colder, the constant showboating of the ultra wealthy in front of the generationally poor, etc. All of these things contribute to life feeling and looking worse over time. Vibes in general are pretty bleak unless you've got the cashflow to put you into happier environments. For the average Joe, it just doesn't cut it to live in LA and homelessness has gotten REALLY REALLY bad. Like a couple homeless on every single street bad. I can assure you it was NOT this bad 5-6 years ago and it's almost a lock to get worse in the near future. For the less financially fortunate (90% of all people), LA is just not enjoyable in any fashion.

"I'm sorry guys we're losing sunlight" as they have the best opportunity to promote their music/band they'll likely ever get, haha. I was born and raised in L.A. and spent most of my life there; the underbelly is definitely sick. I've seen so many people think they have what it takes to make music, art, movies, or whatever else and end up leaving broken. It's not just about talent, but realistically it's this massively closed off circuit to the public. You can make it, but only if you're already chosen to. Moving out there to showcase your talents actually isn't the right approach. If you want to be heard you don't go to the place where the most noise is being made, you just get drowned out. Build your base locally and online, showcase your talents without borders, then as you establish an audience perhaps the Hollywood you dream of will be in sight.

As a Cali native, thank you for showing how and what LA really can be.. it’s not all glitz and glam. It hasn’t been that way since after Obama from what I’ve observed as a 24 year old black woman. If you’re thinking about leaving your life behind without a plan and MANY back up plans DO NOT MOVE TO CALI. ESPECIALLY if you have nothing going for yourself… this isn’t the place you want to be to find yourself building yourself up, paying rent, bills and will just enough money for an emergency fund that will deplete quickly if it’s not at least $10k depending on how much your bills are as well… Cali is a great place to visit for a week

Maybe it's because I'm from Florida. The Clearwater area. But Cali has always seemed to suck to me and this video sealed it for me. No thanks. FL for life! Also great weather.

My daughters ex became homeless in LA, after months on the street he was given a hotel room, food and a weekly stipend, he started a KZbin channel bragging how being homeless in LA is amazing, eating steak and showing all the free things he was getting. Because he is dumb as you know what, he broke the rules and got kicked out, back to the street. It is amazing how these people take things for granted, he had everything for FREE, living in LA and couldn't follow the basic rules of no fighting with the other tenants.

The people who were forced into sex work, out of necessity, in Figueroa had more dignity and self-respect than those who dabbled in excess and debauchery in that sex party.

We don't know if any of the women interviewed were forced. I doubt any of the ones in that position would have gave an interview, at least not until they are done and out.
