Los Bravos were a Spanish beat group, formed in 1965 and based in Madrid.
"Bring a Little Lovin'" by Los Bravos was featured on the soundtrack and first teaser trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (stylized as Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood), an upcoming black comedy crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

This song really made "Once Upon A time in Hollywood." Totally brought back an era. What great taste for Tarrantino to feature it. After watching this great, great movie, now I just walk around pretending I'm Brad Pitt, with the smile, the swagger, the positive self confidence, the joy in every moment of life. Tarrantino says he likes to make movies where you just want to hang around with the central characters. Well, he sure succeeded here!

I have to appreciate this group because their US hit, Black is Black, ( I never knew they were based in Madrid, or really knew anything about them) is very American sounding. I have a similar appreciation for Santana, in that they were a Latin group that had material that was naturally appreciated in the US, i.e. you didn't feel like they were forcing their ethnicity on you. I get that feeling with a lot of the Latin music I hear which doesn't come close to what Santana achieved. Here's 3 songs just for you Mark, that should have been major hits, but two were limited to the midwest in popularity, and one was too long for most stations to air These are on youtube 1. The Harlem Shuffle by the Fabulous Flippers this was on Cameo records, and was so popular in parts of the midwest, it got back to back air play years after the song was released. 2. Jezebel by The Rumbles This is a superior version of Herman's Hermits "Jezebel" . The Rumbles were competition for the Fabulous Flippers, similar style horn & show bands like early Chicago. Group was managed by Eddie Hadad, who was known in Omaha for playing polka music in early 50's, and had his own Sunday radio show. 3. Save That Planet by Edgar Winter and the White Trash. You want the "live at the Apollo (Theater) version, far superior to studio cuts of the same song. Playing guitar on this song is Rick Deringer. IMHO, perhaps the greatest R & R signing duo, at the very end of the song. A lot of people have never heard this, but when they do, they consider it to be a superior R & R live performance. There's a full album of this band live called "Road Work".

It charted at no. 51 in USA on the singles chart back in 1968. Black is Black being there biggest hit in the singles chart No.4 in USA and No.2 in UK in 1966.

I had forgotten all about this great dance ditty until Sirius XM's "60s on 6" aired it shortly before "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" came out. Having been almost 9 when I first heard the song in spring '68 via the one and only 93 KHJ (I grew up in greater L.A.), I must say Tarantino nailed it with the Real Don Steele airchecks before and after!
