Excellent documentary. Reinforces the pride I feel in having been privileged to be a part of the Lab for 20 years.

Thank you. I truly enjoyed this three part documentary. While it is true that on July 16, 1945 Dr. Oppenheimer gave us a new world in which to live, he was/is not responsible for how we choose to live in it. His genius was unique in that it was not singular in focus. He was as knowledgeable in languages and art as he was in physics. A truly great and honorable man.

Excellent series. With the publicity surrounding the release of Oppenheimer, LANL needed to add it's voice to the conversation and this was an excellent contribution.

Exonerated too late but at least it happened. Look how that travesty aged him.

This was an excellent documentary. It was especially exceptional for its visual presentation. But it also clearly illustrates, to me, the double standard that infects our government and our entire Nation. The building of the transcontinental railroad in 1869, our victory in World War II (including the Manhattan Project) and the Apollo moon landings were our finest hours. Without reservation, Dr. Oppenheimer brilliantly led the scientific team to victory. The vacation of the deeply flawed and fabricated "hearing" resulting in revoking his clearance should have been done a long time ago. However, I must point out that Dr. Oppenheimer is not alone in suffering false, misleading and downright fabrication of a hoax created by his enemies in government and academia. The current Secretary of Energy may well have cleared the injustice done Robert J. Oppenheimer but when will another high profile American figure be cleared of a collusion hoax proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to be just as diabolical? I am not a fan of author Kai Bird as he just could not keep his hatred of this other American figure out of his book. There is a time and a place for free and open discussion of dissenting opinions (loosely quoting the Madame Secretary) but it diminished a work that should have been a stellar contribution to American history. The folks at Los Alamos, Sandia, Livermore and Idaho are the best and the brightest. Our National Laboratories are treasured assets of this Republic. As terrible as the consequences could be, without their work and the will to keep them working, the consequences would be far worse. Thank you to the folks at LANL for this brilliant video series.

Unlike most of the " Presidents" we have had since the end of WWII, Oppenheimer was a truly great man and cared about things that matter , such as science and literature.
