Recently on another YT channel I am subscribed to a woman tossed a dog to a shelter. He was emaciated. Her reasoning was that to teach her children a lesson, she would not feed the dog, nor remind her kids to do so. Thus, starvation and neglect. This is the act of a psychotic and I hope she was relieved of all her children as well. Because they were next, I’m sure.

She looks similar to my girl Mousey! she was also quite slender when we got her but now she is a big girl 😄 She lost her sister earlier this year though 😢 I am going to introduce two new babies tomorrow hopefully it goes well. Love to see this piggy meeting all the others and feeling at home already ❤ Does it ever go badly when you introduce a new pig into the big herds?

That'd be a good side income, recycles something that would otherwise be thrown away and could help people to grow more/better fruits, vegetables, herbs,etc that could then be fed to the piggies! And people of course lol. I may see if anyone in my area would be interested in my piggie-made fertilizer. 🤔 I despise wasting anything that can be reused or re-purposed in some way.

My guinea pig cage constantly has gnat infestations. Our piggie seems to now lay where she urinates and poops. Shes 7 years old and this wasn’t an issue until about 1 year age. Any advice?

hey this is a weird question but im kind of desperate to hear from someone who deals with lots of guinea pigs. im worried about my guinea pig's spine and while i do plan to get him checked out by a vet i wanted to hear if youve ever had guinea pigs with spine issues (like a curved spine/hunched back)? ive been trying to find resources on it but i havent seen anything and im wondering if im just overreacting

When my guinea pig had a hunched back it was because he was in pain due to severe bloat. You need a vet asap to get a proper diagnosis. Sorry can't be of much further help.

Guinea pigs that are very skinny can have the appearance of a "hunch back" because the ridge od the spine is very visible. Also what @fitzguineavision said. If a pig is sick they will sit hunched and then also may have the appearance of a curved spine.
