David. I was down a "The Voice" rabbit hole today and I never heard this song before and I immediately started crying because this resonated so much with me. I am someone who went through a divorce, something I poured my heart and soul into so this really hit home. It's a true story for me that it took losing my ex to find myself and love myself and yes sometimes I needed to hate her to find myself through a very painful healing process. I've listened to this so much today and tears are just automatic but it's happy tears. Your voice, your guitar playing, your delivery and everything is just perfect man and I just want you to know your version truly touched me and it's become a song about my journey from where I was 5 years ago to the successful man and the successful journey I'm on now and it's because I needed the divorce to happen. I needed to lose the love of my life to actually find out that I AM the love of my life. I had a hard time healing because I was also finally discovering who I truly am and it just happened to be what I need in order to finish that maturation process of being an adult and being a man
