Yes, they showed a little bit of chemistry, but the truth is he had better chemistry with Shiya. If I am to assume the Netflix adaptation was going to be more than one season and they are following the original, obviously they’re going to have to show that he ends up with somebody else and that’s why I said that is not a good ending. I liked what the anime did. For the record, I’ll be 46 next month, I’m married and have 6 children. My point is I think I understand relationships and I don’t mind there being an open ending when the ending truly leaves and opening for you to interpret your own happy ending, which in my opinion, Doona does not

I’m not mad at ZHU and I kind of understand why she was the way she was in the one hand I do feel a little sorry for her because it is evidently clear she did love him however, as Shiki said being in love is about timing. and you can’t really know who you’re meant to be with when you’re young because things have to go a certain way and the circumstances have to be right it’s not always just about your feelings and overtime based on circumstances, those feelings can change, as they ultimately did change Shiki. I actually appreciate the way they close the chapter because it was really romantic how these two childhood friends that deep down we’re in love with each other, but they ultimately grew up and wanted different things and I was happy the way that that chapter closed, and now he was free to realize that he’s in love with Li Shiya I loved this anime it was awesome and I would watch it again and again it is just that good and I also appreciate what they did instead of ending it the way the manga end it. My biggest hangup with the manga is that even though they take into account Li Shiya has emotional problems, they make it seem like she was for real and then all of a sudden she just changes for no reason and decides she wants to go back to that life. It didn’t seem to make sense to me and then to have him end up with the girl that had little next to no development and he had really only a couple of moments with but never really shared or reciprocated feelings for just didn’t make sense. I think it’s poor writing that’s my opinion and that’s why I like the anime over the manga

This is like season 1 of the manhwa at like 54 chapters and the whole manhwa has around 140 chaps total. That explains the lack of screen time the orange girl got. Im also pretty sure they altered the anime a bit and excluded context for future events in the next season as if they plan on not giving it another season and end it there (prob because the ending and how the story developed is not something everyone will like) so most likely we are not getting another season.

Yes this was Doona! from Netflix. But this came out first and it follow the original story where it was adapted though it only end on season 1. Doona! was kind of different since they already change some parts of the story in that adaptation. The ending of the anime and manhwa (source material) was way way different than Doona! Oh and i really like this anime/donghua it was so good!!! The opening and other OST is top notch.

Its been a while since i've watched anime and i usually watch romance genres, then i came across this because of the live action and i'm a sucker from this kind of plot. The OP is so catchy, animation was good (and i became a simp for Shi Ya), as well as the story. The romance is different from the usual anime because this was actually adapted from a Manhua and then produced by a chinese company so it became a Donghua. They only make season 1 which covers 54/136 chapters. So if they gonna make season 2 just make sure they gonna change the ending 🤣😂. If not i'm gonna be dead 🤧😭💀.
