These Jack Perrin films from this period are always entertaining. Haven't watched this in 30 years or so....so many thanks for posting it!

I like to catch bloopers on these old movies. So here goes. We can consider this to be in the late 1890's. No.1 at 14:38 The Amos & Andy line. Which didn't come on the radio until the 1930's. No. 2 at 40:04 The Streetcar line by Amos. No.3 at 42:28 Prop the General Electric cardboard box. Probably a Radio box.

I never will understand some of the guys they picked back then to be "B" western movie stars. Jack Perrin is one of those that I shake my head at every time I see one of his movies. He couldn't act, he was big, ugly, and terrible in love scenes, but compared to his horrible fight scenes he looked like Casanova. He fought like a girl, not even good editing could make any of his fight scenes appear real. You could spot all his missed punches from ten miles away. I love old Westerns, it is my favorite movie genre, I even love "B" Western movies, but Jack Perrin movies are the worst!

Everybody rides horses, there are no automobiles, telephones, oil lamps are used for light, no visible signs of modernity until 42:28 where a large (upside down) General Electric logo is plainly visible on a cardboard box.

The flower girl's hair style and clothing look like 1930s. Also, she makes reference to Amos n' Andy. It's one of those "modern " Westerns set in the 20th Century.

These movies weren't trying to look like the 1890s, they were contemporary pieces set in rural America. Few people now remember that the real cowboy era lasted all the way through WW1 and even in the 30s folks in rural America were still likely to ride horses.
