Losi 22s Mid Motor Real Street Conversion: build in feature showcase!

This video showcases all the built in features designed into this losi 22s drag chassis. taking a stock losi 22s, convert it to mid motor, front mount servo, floating body mount and more! designed to be an affordable conversion to make an already awesome for the value rtr drag car into something much more impressive! cheapest option of the conversion costs only $80 Canadian (around $60 usd) and some time with a 3D printer gets you more features found on many more expensive kits like the dr10m.
3D printed parts are designed to be robust and take a hit and keep on going. parts printed by me are from PETG filament, 3.2mm thick wall and 100% infill. you can print the parts in PLA/PLA+, ABS, PETG, Nylon or whatever filament you with to use.
kit options are:
$220 canadian: full carbon kit - carbon chassis, body mount and front body mount links. all 3d printed parts to built mid motor real street chassis, all needed hardware, bearings and tie rods for push rod suspension, usb with stl files to print your own spares
$155 canadian: full 6061 T6 Aluminum kit - aluminum chassis, body mount and front body mount links. all 3d printed parts to built mid motor real street chassis, all needed hardware, bearings and tie rods for push rod suspension, usb with stl files to print your own spares
$150 canadian: carbon only kit - carbon chassis, body mount and front body mount links. all needed hardware, bearings and tie rods for push rod suspension, usb with stl files to print your own parts and spares
$80 canadian: aluminum only kit - aluminum chassis, body mount and front body mount links. all needed hardware, bearings and tie rods for push rod suspension, usb with stl files to print your own parts and spares

springy front bumper
5 degree kick up
front mounted servo
dual bell crank steering to reduce bump steer
droop screws front and back
push rod suspension with adjustable geometry
front "sway bar"
floating front and rear body mounts
quick release battery hold down with battery placement adjustments
front perch for reciever
parallel front and rear arms/tie rods while chassis is 1/2 from the ground

Haveven got my 22s yet .Keep telling my self staying factory besides aero kit rear shock tower but this is soooo tempting for that price

So I actually wouldn't worry about switching the rear shock tower the stock one seems fine to me. I favor the aluminum chassis over the carbon chassis from my testing. I'm also going to see about making a mid motor conversion for the stock chassis which would be alot cheaper. It would have a rear floating body mount aswell

@ScaryGary1776 thank you. I just bought a new printer that should be faster. As for changes, I'm looking to remove the push rod suspension. Though it works very well, it's in a grey area of the rules for one. It adds complexity to the chassis aswell as weight (im around 2400 grams with pushrod suspension race ready with a 1/8 esc and 10k mah r1 battery). Furthermore it should reduce the kit cost by some amount.

Do you think if i put some big 135 mm tires/wheels and bigger shocks on the losi 22s chassis it would make a decent basher?

The shocks actually have alot of travel once u remove the rubber tubing limiters and a decent bore size. This is based on a short course truck, possibly with shorter arms from the buggy but not sure there. Only issue would be the diameter of the tire might rub the front arms when you steer. It's amazing value for the money. What I personally do if you want to bash with it would be remove the shock limiters, get some 1/10 truggy tires (about the same diameter of tire on the losi, but they are wider) and get a dune buggy body for short course trucks as it would have open wheel arches

I have designed it myself. I plan to sell them as a conversion kit. If you look on horizon right now, the losi roller is only $70 usd!!!! And the rtr version with electronics and body is only $150 usd!!! It's a freaking steal of a deal!
