Here's the first prototype for my custom armored suit that is under works! I'm creating a real life suit. Not Batman of course as his suit has many impracticalities -- it's a Comic Book after all. So here is my in-progress tactical suit with carefully designed gear that would make sense in real-life, while retaining themes and styling to make a build that looks like it could come out of a comic book.

What about the safety aspect, would it make sense to have a way to be able to quickly discard the battery in case of a fire?
@CrashMakerspace
@CrashMakerspace 2 ай бұрын
@@mofo78536 Its a great idea for a quick release -- these batteries aren't combustable; the chemistry won't burn. But these can get a few hundred degrees during thermal runaway which the regulator and fuses should stop from occurring.

Such a cool project! If you're planning on allowing for subsystems to be knocked offline, you may want to look into load dump protection and reverse voltage polarity protection. Each problem can be solved with a single diode (you could get more complex if you so choose). I'm an electrical engineer working on electric vehicles and our products need to withstand some of the harshest electrical conditions on Earth. Load dumps and reverse voltages are the biggest failure modes that trigger a cascade across the network. Looking forward to seeing the next video!

@@tootinyuniverse 100% this one here has none of that; but I was hoping to put load dump protection on the power buses (one left and one right) off the main regulator to isolate. The reverse voltage I hadn’t considered but would be a great addition; thanks for the feedback!

This is a really cool concept, I like the metal gear look you have going on. On a more serious note I think it would be interesting to have a health monitoring/logic system for practical use. Specifically a set of automated tourniquets that trigger from outside input. That way you can prevent blood loss without having to remove a lot of kit/clothing to get to it and it could activate in situations where you couldn’t turn it on like being unconscious or otherwise preoccupied. Also having useful personal health information listed for reference in the field would be good as well

You should implement a open system for your back storage, to be able to open it and replace batteries would be crucial in a combat situation. Don't want to be short fused on the battlefield. It also helps with repairability and extends the lifespan of your energy storage.

I like the idea, however the issue I see right off is that you'd need a REALLY good back protector to keep it safe, which could impede flexibility. Actually really impressed by your battery composition. you thought it out pretty well.

@@sharxbyte thanks dude! I’d like some padding behind the cells and armor onto. Flexibility is always an inverse of armor 😅 so a good challenge

Crazy how more people are starting to create such things, sooner or later it will happen that the combination of different projects will eventually create something big, or maybe a guy who ends up designing something world-changing. We are getting there guys, a world where we can improve our own body with mechanical parts or implements, makes me wonder tho where will all that lead to.
