Great video...but, at the same time, you should be understanding that the TLR 8ight-XE is designed for track racing, not "speed runs". A standard motor for this vehicle, on outdoor tracks, would be a 2000kv on 4S. On an indoor track, it would be a 4000kv (using TLR's alternate motor mount) on 2S. I pre-ordered one, and have had it since day-one. While I have 3 Traxxas vehicles, I also currently have an XRAY T4, plus 2 TLRs (the other being a 22 5.0 SR 1/10 2WD buggy)...tho, I am planning more TLR vehicles. Between Team Associated & TLR, I'm a BIG proponent of Losi products - better-written manuals, better parts organization, better customer service. Welcome to the TLR "family", and here's to hoping you build more TLR vehicles.

Buggies are really fun for taking them to the RC track they're designed to take jumps and things like provided at the track . You can't run the motor wish anything more then a 4s 1400 kv but you can gear it higher

Love the Work you do,Excellence!😙👌 I have a question, why don't you use solid rims while doing these speed runs? Wouldn't it help with the aerodynamics?🤔
@InnovationRC5 жыл бұрын
Well for this particular run, it was a reveal. I am not going for personal best records or anything, just to see how it drives. If I were to everything would be more set for top speed, wing would be flat, tires would be changed etc

I find it funny you have to show the balance lead and battery as if to validate what you're saying on camera. Are people that sceptical and calling you out that much that you have to prove the car did that pass on 4S?
@InnovationRC5 жыл бұрын
A couple people stated since I edit my videos they can't be valid. I'm not worried though. I know what I got. Many know that 😉
@AussieRCPlayground5 жыл бұрын
@@InnovationRC if you let people influence what you do in your videos then I think you're letting them win. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to hide. Don't let a couple of sceptics get to you. Just my 2 cents. Cool video nonetheless. 👍😊
@InnovationRC5 жыл бұрын
Some speed lists do require the showing of balance leads and or voltage of battery in order to be entered hence of me doing it 😉 Otherwise it doesn't phase me what anyone says. Whatever I'm doing, I'm doing right...
@AussieRCPlayground5 жыл бұрын
@@InnovationRC if I was going for some kind of Guinness World Record or I was in an actual competition of some kind, then I can understand there being rules like showing your battery, etc. But I'm not and from memory, I haven't seen Philip do it either. I do my speed runs for me and the cars, not for some hater who's mission in life is to make life difficult for everyone else. That's why I use a radar gun and a GPS. Neither are always 100% accurate, so it's good to have a back up. For me, if someone wants to believe me, great. If they don't, it doesn't phase me... I'm not in this to deceive people, I'm in this because I love the hobby and like to share my knowledge. Pretty simple stuff... 😊
@InnovationRC5 жыл бұрын
To tell you the truth I didn't even want to take the battery out because it was difficult to position it so the body cover wouldn't stress. I wanted to run it more after the video.

What’s a ripper killer
@Quarterinchkilla5 жыл бұрын
I'm not the right person to explain it but my understanding is that it makes the ESC work more efficiently, so you're less likely to detonate your speed controller doing these speed runs. ripplekillerrc.com/

I'm running a castle 2650kv with a mmx sensored system. can I run that sensorless? And is the sensor holding me back from high speeds?

Castle motors are able to be ran with or without the sensor wire. I truthfully do not know if the sensor is worth it to run. I always run sensorless

Pretty sad that ppl don't understand what a rc KIT really is . Nor do they understand the absolute joy of building the kit. The TLR 8X is a high end race kit so of course you have to put it together and of course it will be quality as any other racer kits. The material and machine work will always trump ready to run models. Infact rtr models like that of Arma and traxas and other companies out there that sell models ready to go in a box are over priced toys and nothing more
