Don’t know if you’ll see this but you’ve saved my life by showing me the engine mounts, it’s all I needed to know if I could use them for the bump box since the 4.0 mounts are out of stock everywhere, thank you

Good my friend! I’m glad this video helped you out. Don’t know why the 4.0 mounts are so hard to find, pretty sure Losi is about ready to discontinue support for 8ight, seems that way anyway. Don’t have this particular car anymore but I hope whoever I sold it to is enjoying it! Let me know if you ever need help about the 8ight platforms.

Nice pickup! I just got just basically a roller without even shocks but only $50 just to play with, but yours is an amazing package for that price. I'm used to bashers I felt the same way - just blown away by the quality in this machine - such a pleasure to restore - and so much nicer even than the rtr.

Thanks a bunch for checking out man. I sold this kit awhile back and got the Kyosho mp9. Still miss this thing sometimes but hopefully it got someone into racing and went into good hands. Thanks again.

Great pickup bro! The rear hubs, LRC mounts, and steering top brace are all option parts. Nice score. 🏎💨💯👊👊💪💪👍👍

Thanks chilly I appreciate it. I thought all those parts were options but I wasn’t sure. Seems like a really beefy setup and I’m glad I purchased it. Looking forward to getting it running!

Very nice now u gonna wanna shelf the 3.0 and run the rtr lol almost a shame when u run a nice kit on the track but that's what they r intended for 😎👊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Lol you know me too well by now man. I honestly plan on running this one as intended though. Johnson City and Easley sc both have tracks and I’m definitely gonna try it out. My only other thing is i might just get a normal, nice engine for this and keep the novarossi shelved. Too rare of an engine, I want to run it but I might just get a Picco engine or even a lower end O.s xzb and run that instead. Get some spares, maintain it, and it should be good to go.

Great video, just subscribed. Found your channel while looking for losi 8 rtr videos. Glad you’ve had success with yours, mine has been trouble in the brief time I’ve had it. Break in went great, but since the 8 th break in tank, problem. It’s developed an air leak somewhere and I’ve checked everything and still can’t figure it out. And definitely keep all your nitro vehicles. Glad I never sold any. Still have 2 hpi nitro mt’s from 2000 and 2002, a 2003 Ofna monster pirate, and a 2005 traxxas sport maxx. All still original, with original engines. Run them lightly once in a while to keep them from sitting. And now the losi which is giving me headaches 🙄 I’ve hung out with botajell, we both live on Long Island. Great guy, super knowledgeable about the hobby. Gonna go binge watch your vids bro, best of luck with that 3.0 kit.

Thanks for the subscription man I really appreciate it! Love your collection of trucks. I’ve had quite a few myself over the years. Traxxas nitro sport, t Maxx 2.5, revo 2.5, OFNA hyper 7, Tamiya Terracrusher, Traxxas nitro 4 tec, team associated mgt, and a Jq rtr nitro buggy. I have none of my classics anymore but I learned my lesson, and will hold onto mine forever or as long as nitro exists, which I hope is for the rest of my life! I’m sorry to hear about your troubles bro. Give me some details about what’s going on and I’ll try and help you out. If you have an air leak I assume your engine is near untamable, extremely unstable, idling weird or lean bogging for no reason? If you haven’t done so already, just replace the whole fuel tank with a brand new one. If that doesn’t work you can try sealing your carburetor, backplate, etc. I have no experience with engine sealing but there’s plenty of videos that show you how to do it. Worst comes to worse, the stock engine is 100$ or so to replace. If you can swing a higher pay, you can also just replace the engine with a race grade engine and hopefully have a better experience. When working properly, this dynamite engine should be damn near flawless, easy to start and tune, and just run reliably. I had mine for 6 gallons and took it out to replace the engine with another one. Here’s the kicker, my front bearing on the original dynamite was on its way out and I had no idea. That’s how good my engine ran. My engine ran flawless from day one and I wouldn’t hesitate to throw it back in even now(if I replaced the bearing first). Anyway, check the easy stuff first. Fresh fuel lines for sure, but I recommend a new tank. Make sure your carb bolt is tight, not insanely tightened down but quite firmly nonetheless. Put in a fresh glow plug with a proper new brass washer. Worst comes to worse find a suitable RTV sealant paste and try sealing up the carb using a proper tutorial. If that doesn’t work, throw a different engine in there. The 8ight/ 8ight T RTR platform is a really good starting point and should be a solid foundation. I hope you get it working. Don’t hesitate to give me more details on your situation and I’ll try and help as best as I can. Just remember, it’s most likely a stupid tiny little problem causing your issues and most likely NOT something major. It could be major, but try the small things first and go from there. Let me know man and thanks again for the support! By the way, botajell is the shit and his older videos were instrumental to my return in the hobby and getting my losi 8ight T RTR set up properly. Super cool dude for sure and I think he’s been wonderful to the hobby. He’s the reason I Gave Losi any of my money to begin with and I think a lot of people will vouch for that. Good luck with your 8ight and again, let me know how I can help man because you should have a positive experience with your buggy and whatever is wrong, can be fixed. Take care

I hope I can just get to the bottom of this issue with the .28, it’s just frustrating because it’s brand new and I have a lot of experience with nitro engines. I’m FAR from being an “expert” on them but I’ve had similar issues in the past with engines and was able to fix the problem. Thanks so much for the response Jeremy, look forward to your next video and I’m really looking forward to watching your channel blow up. I have a feeling it’s gonna because you’re putting out great content. Best of luck and continued success nitro brother, I’ll keep you posted on this losi truggy.

@@johndecline4483 thanks again for the kind words John I appreciate it. Nitro can be super frustrating and we’ve all been there. Hopefully I can turn my channel into one of positivity, helping regular people in the nitro hobby. I’m certainly not a racer, but I’m trying to focus on helping others run quality setups, maintenance, proper tunes, and most importantly just to have fun whether you’re in a parking lot or your an amateur trying to become a pro racer. This is the best hobby in the world in my opinion, and I hope to spread the knowledge to others in order to grow the hobby. Thanks again! Good luck and keep me updated

@@jeremywilliamsrc8797 wanted to give you an update. After a bunch of emails and a few phone calls describing my problem, horizon stepped up big time and are shipping me a brand new .28 and they even told me to keep the original one for parts. Thought was really nice of them.

@@johndecline4483 John that’s wonderful buddy. Glad you got something positive coming your way after the situation with the engine and that’s awesome that horizon remedied the issue. Reminds me of the time I got a defective novarossi .28 8 port from absolute hobby’s. The thing lean bogged from the first fire even though needles were out past flush, and extremely rich. Also engine sounded and ran terrible for the first three tanks of break in, I knew something was severely wrong with the engine and that it was defective. Hard to show proof with that one but I’ve been in the hobby long enough to know when something is completely, and utterly “off” or defective. I’m looking over me engine after pulling my hair out for the first three tanks, and I noticed Something was wrong with my head button and this engine, no joke, was blowing oil out of the head button( not even the glow plug hole, but the whole head button and out of the head bolts!) hard enough to get my air filter tube coated with oil. Sent the engine back and actually received my money back( thank you Absolute hobby’s, great place). So I got a different, but similar novarossi after all this crap, and could tell instantly upon the start of break in it was going to be fine compared to my pervious Lemon. Defects can happen, no doubt. I hope this new engine works out for you and gives you a good experience with the losi.
