Honestly great vid, and yeah it’s a truck that is made easy for people new to the hobby, but honestly I’ve always seen this truck(I have one, and it’s never been a problem) as the nitro truck I can grab and it just works,no questions asked, I have a lot of nitros, so when I go out to drive it’s nice to have one that I know will work for sure without issue, and this truck is amazing at that!

Great Video! I just ordered one of these Eight T's last night 😁. It has been over 20 years since I last ran a Nitro back in my Kyosho Inferno days running a Pico P3 motor, my Tmaxx with Os.18 and my long lost but never forgotten Rc10gt with a Novarossi .12. hey my dude! YES! the remote Throttle trim is a top priority feature. I wish the traxxas nitros would have dedicated throttle trim setting on their radios too, without using the APPlication. That is probably why many people cannot figure out how to keep their traxxxas motors running.

I like the look of this losi 8t i havent ran my losi 8xt with my lrp engine has had 3 tanks of fuel preheat on each tank need to run some more fuel in it just waiting for a reciever box as i lost it whilst i was building it stupid me but when i get it ill be running it in on 4 more tanks

The only problems I’ve had with my losi 8 is the servos and I broke a front bumper once but that was my fault I’d say just upgrade the servos and upgrade the header and these buggies and truggies are mint

I see your getting into nitro.. here's my two cents. Getting rid of a starter on the engine will be the best thing you can do for tuning. Get a backplate and starter box . The leak a ton of air through the bussing on the starter shaft. It's a fact. the engines hold a tune and run so much better with a sealed backplate. .

You know what would of helped sell more nitro vehicles in my opinion? If Engineers would of designed them all to have the exhaust go out the rear of the vehicle so they would not be so messy. I mean I love the sound and smell, but I’m not a fan of the mess….lol That truggy looks awesome, enjoy.

hey dude! That is a very good point! In all my revo review vids I always mention how terrific the rear exhaust is on the REVO. The chassis is always clean and it's more realistic looking. Side exhaust is a 100% way to get the entire rear wheel dirty, oily and trying to PISS you off lol.. Good point!

I forgot what they are called but I remember Dubro made some rubber hoses to attach on the exhaust you can position them downwards so it can keep your vehicles cleaner

Does this thing flip on a dime? The slash and traxxas slayer always want to flip when I'm braking and I think I has to do with the Single brake that controls all wheels.

hey bro! It's super tough to flip this truggy because it's got a very WIDE stance, thats basically the main benefit of the entire Truggy chassis. The slayer and slash flip because those SCT style tires BITE too much while you're turning, and also they are pretty narrow designs. GReat question.

The only upgrade I’d do, Is the diffs. The RTR Version to my knowledge has the 2 pinion gear diffs. While the Kit Version comes with the Stronger 4 pinion gear diffs. Nice price though 👍🏻

Blew the engine. Went LIPO. Blew the rear diff 3 packs 6S in. 😂

@@saaanjilk I Blew the Rear 2 pinion diff, with the stock Losi 427 nitro engine. That’s why I recommend the 4 pinion diff upgrade!

@@saaanjilk I wouldn’t be surprised, RTR usually use a cheap cast alloy. Kit version, has all the quality components included. But if you upgrade the Diff’s when the RTR Diffs are worn or Blow 😂 RTR’s are fine. Also a good idea to Shim your Diffs, even from new (RTR) 😁

hey my dude! For a stock RTR I highly recommend the Serpent Buggy. Although both of these are terrific the Serpent Is a little cheaper right now and I thing would hold value better over time, it's also significantly faster without any gearing upgrades. WAS a race brand?? They still are a huge competitor, however their competition kits are branded TLR. In which I highly recommend if you want to race rather than play in your backyard or fields. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with racing an RTR, but all the weak points will show up much faster requiring replacement, so honestly spending the extra cash would save you in the long run, the competition have all the upgrades like the aircraft aluminum chassis, shock caps, knucles, shock towers...ect ect.... For beginners though, thereis nothing wrong with starting off with an RTR for learning how to race competitively. Most bashers do not realize how much harder on the vehicle it is running on a track with 12 or more at one time. Its way more punishing than even jumping the car 20 feet in the air on grass. Again, I am no way shape or form saying one should buy a kit to race, I was a sponsoerd driver about 6 or so years ago. This is just my advice to help some people make that hard decision when buying an R/C for the first time. Really just go out and get what you can afford and HAVE FUN!!...that is the key and exactly what its all about in this great hobby. BTW...Best advice in the video is the heat cycle for break in, never just idle an engine for break in...its a complicated exploration on why..maybe get a temp gun and use a hair dryer to pre heat the engine as well. Great video!! Take care Edit: My mistake, after doing some research I see they actually now use T6 aluminum for the chassis on the RTR. Thats huge..

hey bro! This fuel that I use in this video is made with VP fuels to begin with. Unfortunately the real VP fuel is almost double the price of the bones brew, thats the main reason I don't even use the branded VP fuels, you know..

The price on these has gone way up. I'm pretty sure when my friend bought his, they were $399 & the buggy version was $349. Pre-heating the engine to about 200 really helps starting a brand new engine. I always pre-heat all my nitros now & starting is much easier.

hey bro! the battery box is a tad awkward you're right, the top half which screws into the bottom portion is not that easy to remove, but I will say when it's locked down it looks nice and compact. ITs the damn top shelf clasp system, I guess they should have copied traxxas, lol.

@@hybrid32494 I compared it to O'Donnell 30% race years ago and found the nitrotane made less power and ran hotter then the O'Donnell. That being said I have no clue on what's available now that would be comparable. I also tried Byron's way back and didn't like that either. Traxxas top fuel 20 and 33 both were terrible as well.
