So they don’t have those engine mounts anymore. They were discontinued and out of stock everywhere. Can this be done with other engine mounts?

I'm not familiar with the 2.0 What engine does it have? The parts in my video will work only with the Dynamite .28 or .21 engines.

@@316RC The 2.0 Mounts are the same TLR 241017 if memory serves correctly. They are already lower because the 2.0 comes bump box ready. FYI, the Losi engine mounts are 25-30 dollars online, but there are several listings on ebay selling stock 4.0 mounts for 5-7 dollars plus shipping. These are the same part numbers so you can save yourself a few bucks here.

Just did this. Thank you for the video! The rtr 8ight T is the 2.0 version (purple and yellow body) and requires TLR241017 Losi 8ight 4.0 engine mounts for a starter box , even the Losi 8ight starter box.

My cord is stuck in its most retracted position. I was breaking in the engine when I let it run out of fuel, and now the pullcord won't extend from its coiled position. How do I fix this?

Pigletsandbacon did you set the piston @ TDC when the engine stopped? Can you turn over engine by moving the flywheel? If not the engine is probably froze up because the cylinder is tapered. Heat up engine with a heat gun to like 180 F. That should free it up.

@@316RC thx so much for the tip, totally loosened it up. Btw, does the engine have a tendency to finish TDC (when running it out of fuel) as that's where it has most resistance? Is running out of fuel that harmful when breaking in because it leans out before it shuts off?

Pigletsandbacon yes, more likely than not. Best to set your engine @ BDC then take a sharpie and make a mark on ur flywheel as a reference. When u shut down just move the flywheel to your mark reference and you know your @ BDC. No it really don’t hurt to run the fuel out lean.

JOHN F You will need two items. TLR 241017 engine mount set from Team Losi and Dynamite DYNE1506 pull start eliminator pack plate from Horizon Hobbies.

I order losi 8 .21 I have the starter box can work in this buggy whitout take of the pull start?

No. You must remove the pull start if you want to use a starter box. Can’t have both.

There should have been a small inch and a half one on the receiver box. Don't remember if it came that way or had to install it. I think it came already installed
