That thing is awesome. And perfect terrain for that type of vehicle. I love how responsible you are when driving. Checking for damage after even minor crashes. Shutting it down to cool off when the motor got hot. My Arrma notorious 6s motor would get pretty hot too when I’d drive it in my yard (grass). So I bought a heat sink and cooling fan and now no issues with a hot motor. I’m sure they have to offer something similar for this truck. And what a bummer it broke. It just goes to show you, no matter how cheap, expensive, fast, slow, or durable an RC car is, there is always a chance if something hits or lands wrong, it can break. Love this thing!

It’s definitely one of my favorites. It feels super realistic and is actually a challenge to drive well. Tons of fun. Finally got most of those on there so no heat issues anymore. As for breakage I’ve just had to learn how to drive lol. Cheers 🤘🏻

@RC-Closer13138 ай бұрын
@@Oni_Blxck I got a rebuild kit for the shocks from Vitavon I think 🤔… stiffer rear springs with a thinner oil in the shocks. If you don’t thin out the rear it will keep flipping the rear end up and every 6 inch or higher bump you hit. And like you said it’s not a basher at all, but it jumps extremely well over human style jumps 1-2 footers when tuned. And will absolutely fly over that bumpy terrain that was flipping you before…

I know this buggy inside and out, that looks a bit faster than the stock gearing, what size pinion is on that? You can go up to a 17t pinion on the stock system and still bash hard without overheating plus you have to run a smaller spur to fit an 18 on the stock mount unless you file the slide longer. Everyone breaks the wing, an hpi baja wing is very similar but far more flexible if you feel like not breaking another losi one. next is either a tire/wheel failure or a front cvd. Everyone breaks those too. You might want to check out Detroit performance, they carry tons of upgrades for losi 5th scales. Also I found that swapping to 5iveT 2.0 shocks with 50wt all around makes a huge difference in stability with no other changes.
@Oni_Blxck8 ай бұрын
That’s awesome I’ll definitely check that out. The wing I need to change so I don’t keep having issues so I’ll be looking into that. As far as the truck everything is stock at the moment. 13t opinion from factory and no esc changes yet. I’ll be moving up to a 16-17t soon but in this southern heat I’ll throw fans on just to be safe. Appreciate the tips 😁

I love my SBR 2.0. Grabbed it up last year at the father's day sale for $200 off. Like he says in this video, they aren't bashers. If you drive them like scale vehicles they're a blast. I got the Super Rock Rey a couple weeks ago but haven't had time to take it out the box yet. When they had it marked down to $599 it was too much to pass up. I'm eventually gonna break down and get this and or a 5t and build a 12s animal. Exocaged has the meanest DBXLE I've ever saw. 12s with a 560kv I wanna say. Vitavon everything, It's a beast.

Nice video. Losi trucks and buggies are pretty fragile. I have 2 laser nut. Broken So many things. And I'm not hard on the vehicles. They're just fragile they break easy. But with aftermarket parts and a few upgrades here and there you can toughen them up to handle most conditions. RPM a-arms and skid plates are a must.

i have a lasernut and it breaks nearly every time i take it out 😢 but i still love the thing 😀😀👍
@Oni_Blxck8 ай бұрын
Yeah the scale stuff tends to break a bit easier but I’ll be looking at some aftermarket parts in the near future 🤙🏻
@V8chump7 ай бұрын
Does anyone know where I can get a smaller spur than 40t? GPM makes 39T for the lasernut/tenacity line but 1T isn’t gonna do shit for me 🤣 I need to gear up. Threw a 2400kv 4s setup in and it’s pretty lame even on 3s

Yep definitely a cool buggy, I have the gas version....I would just recommend to take any R/C home first and go very it B4 running, the factory does leave screws loose, wheels loose, and forget screws altogether....I had many loose things on mine....But cool buggy!!!!!

That is a great location to run this buggy. I like buggies and desert buggies too. The DBXL-E v2.0 has been on my list to get for a few years. Finally had the opportunity to pick one up for Christmas. Instead I picked up an Outcast 8S EXB v2. Practical considerations...durability and versatility turned me to the truck instead, which is interesting because I had not given the Outcast 8S any serious consideration until the EXB v2 RTR was released...I think that sealed the deal for me! Still I enjoy watching DBXL-E content, so looking forward to more videos of this buggy from you.

I appreciate it and I’ll definitely have more content with it 😁. In terms of durability you made the right call. I got this because I was looking for something more scale since I had a basher but both are awesome in their own ways honestly.

Ive wanted to get the gasser version since the V1 but i just never pulled the trigger on it. I always end up buying something else instead. I think part of me thinks the $1400 price tag it sits at is too much as i paid $1400 for my Losi 5ive T brand new. I would be ok with it being $1199.99 or MAYBE $1299.99 but $1399.99 is too much. Funny me saying that as a majority of my RCs are very close to or over $1k. It is more than likely inflation as even the Losi 5ive T is going for $1599.99 now. I would probably still pay that for the 5ive T as i know what it is about it now. I know the DBXL electric is like $200 less than the DBXL gas, but i just cant do electric in 1/5 scale. Especially with run times. I have no RC in my collection that has anywhere near the runtime of the 5T and that even includes my crawlers. If i could run my electric RCs the amount of time i can run my 5T on one 2s lipo, i would run more electric RCs. I can get at very minimum 3 hours of runtime on the single 2s battery i run in my 5T with 3.9 volts per cell when im done. I cant even get 3 hours of runtime on a 3 cell in my TRX4 with 3.9 remaining and thats a crawler.
@Oni_Blxck7 ай бұрын
I’ve driven the gas version and it’s a beast as well. I definitely want it too. The price is a bit much but that’s how I feel about most of the cars. In the end I went electric because I’m more familiar with them but you’re right about runtimes. I stay happy if I can get 30 minutes to an hour but honestly past that and the risk of me being an idiot and jumping something I shouldn’t goes up lol.

@@Oni_Blxck which the traxxas or losi
@davemorris67478 ай бұрын
@@Oni_BlxckI’ve owned my fox edition for 18 months. Still running the stock electronics and original batteries it came with. The car is a tank. I’ve replaced the front and rear gearboxes with Vitavon ones with the bigger inner bearings. It’s bullet proof. The only thing I recommend is thread lock all the screws especially the pinion.
@Oni_Blxck8 ай бұрын
The losi. They’re worth it imo. The Traxxas ultimate stuff is nice but for me personally it’s overpriced. Not a bad truck but already having an xmaxx makes $1500 hard to justify.
