Badly wanted to make this video on the laser nut i really do love it but it defo has its problems!!,here i talk about them and pritty much get a fix for every single one! now i really feel like its the RC i expected it to be

Thanks for that recommendation! My Lasernut is turning great now. I upgraded the servo and kept the same servo horn and it was turning horrible. The longer horn definitely helped! I also changed the braking and it’s working great!

Cool info on the servo horn, pretty amazing how just small change in geometry and the leverage point can really change how it works.

Thanks for the content. Broke my right front axle shaft 20 min into my first run so back on the shelf it goes. The positive is I ordered some upgrades while I wait for new driveshafts to come in. Thanks for the tip on the servo, have a Reefs Raw 500 servo and horn the way.

That reefs servo and horn will be great 👍 not so good about the drive shaft I've seen lots on these breaking on fb groups and now kinda expecting will happen to me at some point seems to be a week spot in the rig, hopeful you be back out running asap man 👍💯

Buy the spectrum programmer, more adjustment then stock. Run on 4s. Stock no issues. Servo is fine stock, needs adjustment on servo saver. That’s why people are changing servos. LOVE IT!!

Check all your differentials m8. They all need to be shimed and greased. Here in the Netherlands literally all the Lasernuts break up with busted center difs.. At the local hobby shop they come back in for repairs at lightning speed. We took all the difs apart and none of them where shimmed properly and where as dry as 89 year old Miss Daisy. With me own Lasernut I've completely locked the center dif with epoxy,took al other dif's out,shimmed it correctly,filled them up with 100.000 oil and greased them. Changed the shock fluids to with front 50wt and rear 80wt. Standard shock oil was horrible and al 4 of them where stuffed with bubbles. Now the car is as it should be. Drives 10 times better,is super silent,drives like a gem and has rock solid endurance.

I thought it was an issue with the car Quick look on google and found your video, readjusted the brake and that's much better now, can't wait to get it for a drive later ^_^

It makes a big difference.. This is definitely a big issue and not just a personal preference when spending £500 on a new car that should be performing awesome that's why it's an RTR and not a Kit because Losi are supposed to do it for us👍

Good job! Thx for the info. Others have had issues with breaking front axle shafts. After inspection they found wear on the joint between the axle shaft & the outer stub axle, apparently from increased steering angles. Let us know if you see any signs of this.

I've got the exact same 25T servo horn I ordered for my Scx10 but my stock servo seems to be good just the Saver is too loose can you show how you tightened it please?? I have changed the esc settings for 100% brake and punch 👍 but am worried about the drive shafts, how much did u pay for replacements with postage? Because its 35+postage

At bottom of servo spring is a a threaded screw you than compress up do reduce play I didn't adjust mine as wasn't really slack I just felt that longer arm was the big issue to help with the throw of wheels don't really want saver too tight was exposed wheels more at risk of impacts nice have a bit of cushion

Did you calibrate the forward, reverse, right, left yet, on a flat surface, I spent way to much time last night setting it up. It’s the first spectrum system I’ve had, live and learn

Yeah I did was an absolute nightmare at one point I was close to ripping out the spectrum reciever and just adding one of my flysky ones defo not a user friendly process

Thanks for the tips. What did you do with the servo saver after you replaced the servo? Did you set it to what default settings for the spring? Or you tightened it all the way? My Lasernut still has the stock Spektrum servo and it seems to have an issue with the servo saver being too soft and not allowing the servo to move the wheels.

I tightened the saver a bit nothing too crazy but it really sharpened steering for me :)

Power HD 25kg buddy that's great start defo shim diffs front back and centre also put 50k in front helps reduce ballooning alot 👍

I had quality issues with mine out of the box. Screws missing from the body and panels. 2 rounded off screws in the chassis and the rest of the chassis screws were loose. I've sorted those issues and it drives well, but steering is very weak. Do you have a part number for the servo horn? I have a new servo on the way so I'll change them together. Keep up the great content 👍

I think this rig should be running 1.9's. This rig should have been better, to many issues for a losi rig. I have an old losi 8 2.0 that I converted to a U4 rig and the thing is bullet proof, I had high hopes for this rig but the post bash/run videos out there are showing a lot of problems. Maybe they will release a v2 and make this rig what it should be, because it looks awesome, both versions

Just wanted to say the only legitimate issues I've had is my set screw on my pinion gear came loose and it chewed up the screw and I had to use the a new screw it came with and I had to re bind my controler Im not sure why I turned the car on but the remote did nothing so I re binded it and all is well for now

No mate I have seen that in alot of videos but that's my second outing and 4th battery pack today not had any issues with wheel hex or dog bones at all so far I'm wondering if this has been a certain batch issue

My right rear hub is getting hot. 2 wheels destroyed. The bearings are good. I can't figure it out. I lost a wheel nut on the first run and put Loctite on all wheel nuts. The Heat buildup appears to allow the wheel nuts to back off. Needless to say, I am not happy especially since wheels for this thing are backordered.

@@Rick-kr6nn man thats not good at all defo seems like a major fault in batch I've not had any this as of yet but its clearly an issue think horizon and losi need accept this and do repairs or returns on the cars people having issues not a cheap rc by any means so shouldn't have any problems out the box. Never heard anything bad on dbpro so really don't get what's different, how long is the tyre back order? Defo should complain to horizon man

This car is marketed towards children and adults who have zero impulse control. That is why the steering is so sloppy. Even bashers respect the ability to steer. Just so they can at least hit skaters or Lazernut owners with reckless abandon (wink). The Heck, the Lasernut requires a skater's cooperation to even get close to a glancing blow.
