He also plays alimony to Judith at almost 4k/month and child support for Jake (no idea how much, but probably not less than the alimony). He also pays the mortgages of Judith's house (so Jake has a roof over his head) and Judith's car (so she can send him to school). He's basically a slave. People hated him for being cheap (the show makes it that way) but I have some respect for the guy. He works his ass off, saves as much as he can, spends next to nothing and all the money goes to his child. Too bad Jake never really appreciates him.
