Loss of Power Diagnose and Repair Ventrac 4500Z

This video demonstrates replacing the Igniter Coils, Spark Plugs, and Igniter Box on a Ventrac 4500Z. This was due to a loss of power in cylinder #1. Prior to the parts replacement, I checked the most common issues. I changed air filters and fuel filters, drained the fuel tank and flushed with carburetor cleaner, and cleaned the fuel pickup tube.

I had the same problem. I took it in to the Ventrac dealer and they diagnosed it as a coil was cutting out. They replaced all 3 coils and said it was fixed. I got it back and exactly the same thing happened it cut out after 15 to 20 min and the exhaust was extreamly hot. I took it back to the dealer and they called Ventrac and were told to replace the igniter box ($550.00) I'm still waiting to get it back and fingers crossed.

@@ZoysiaRUs It did fix the problem and the dealer admitted misdiagnosing it and gave me the 3 new coils for no charge and I paid $550 for igniter box and it is FIXED!
