60 FPS is fine. But what about old PS1, N64 etc. games running at 15-20 FPS? Will they look/play any smoother with this technique?

I've tried testing it on older titles for psone, n64, ps2, gamecube, & dreamcast. Can confirmed it does make all of the games look and feel smoother.

However, it can cause serious issues in PS2 games that use the technique of duplicating even frames. For example, the game runs at 60FPS, but the PS2 only updates the odd frames, with the even frames being copies of the odd frames.

Turn on "skip presenting duplicate frames" in PCSX2 under graphics/advanced. That fixed it for me and 30 fps PS2 games are correctly identified by LS as 30 instead of 60. EDIT: oh you were talking about very specific games. To be fair I have only tried it in a few ones.

although that's true about native FG and the UI, I find it not so real in practice, the quality of AMD FG for 3.0 is not really good comparted to LS, more GPU heavy and only 2X...

I don't have much experience with AMD FG, but DLSS along with Nvidia's FG deliver much better results than LS.

It’s probably a compatibility issue with LS, since in the tests I conducted on version 2.9, I was successful in capturing the gameplays.

Why can't you use lossless scaling with cyberpunk? Maybe forgot to put the game in borderless fullscreen or something. Also you should lock the fps for better smoothness. For example if you have a 180hz monitor lock fps at 60 and use x3 or 90 if you use x2. For me lossless scaling in cyberpunk is better than dlss

(165hz frequency of my monitor) When I start the game I go perfect at 60 FPS base, but when I climb marks me 165 / 660 instead of 60 / 165 which is what it should be since I have it in X3 mode. Any solution?

60 x 3 = 180... lock at 55 and then do x3 for perfect results. Or, lock at 82 and do x2 for 164 fps -- whatever your PC can handle. You want to let it do as much work as it can, then have frame generation step in.

If you use x2 or x3 mode, the delay will be reduced. There's also an option that allows tearing, which further lowers the delay. Honestly, I don't find the slight delay to be an issue, but it can vary from person to person. Of course, I wouldn't play a competitive game with LS enabled.

@xXPaRKoURLoV3RXx Depending on the version of FreeSync, it can be compatible with G-Sync. For example, my monitor only supports FreeSync, and I can enable G-Sync-compatible games and applications without any issues. However, I admit that I haven't tested it with LS.

Doas the rtx gpus have less artifacts than the rx gpus when using LS? I would also like to know if replacing an rx 6600 with an rtx 4060 is a good move? and with DLSS 3 + LS how many years could I keep this card?

DLSS3 + LS, I imagine that the frames could already be generated on top of defective DLSS frames, resulting in horrendous graphical quality. The basic RTX 4060 (not the 4060TI) will give you around a 30% performance gain, with an additional energy saving of nearly 20 watts. If you opt for the 4060TI, the performance gain can exceed 50%, but in this case, the energy consumption increases by 30 watts

Only update i want is to lose the glorbing. Im playing switch emulation with it and astral chain and totk get a solid 120fps without visual distortions. Most other games are distoted though. I did test cyberpunk and it had limited distorting

Yes, there is support for HDR, but when I tried this feature in the HDR version, the results were not good, at least for me. I was using it in Cyberpunk 2077.

If you don't have an Nvidia GPU, it's great, better than FSR, I can live with some artifact here and there, but I can never get used to the horrible shimmering, especially around the character it's always on your face.
