How are the polar bear bones in Tunisia? And where did the polar bears come from? You got the answer to where the polar bears came from with the Orientation film from the Swan station. The Dharma Initiative brought them for their zoological experiments, as touched on in the film. That also answers why the bears had Dharma collars. We also saw Sawyer and Kate being kept in bear cages during Season 3. So, how did the bears get to Tunisia? I think we can safely assume that the same mechanism that Ben used (the donkey wheel) was tested on the bears.

The original LOST cast was great, and sure we have lost a few along the way like Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia, Libby, Mr. Eko, Alex, Danielle, Michael and now Jin but adding the Season 2 & 3 characters of Lapidus, Daniel, Miles, Richard, Desmond, Ben, and Juliet really helped the story advance. (Esp the last 3)
