My daughter left her new laptop (one month) on the flight from Beijing to Chengdu. She wasn't aware of the loss till the day after arriving home. She wasn't sure where she left it on the trip though. She called Chengdu airport for help and was told they found the laptop on the flight. She was so excited to get it back.

Many years ago back when China was still very poor and things were way behind the rest of the world, my husband then a student went visit China with his classmates during school break. He lost his wallet and he was not worrying about the money but more so the vital paperwork for entering/leaving China, He was in panic but when he returned to the humble motel, the receptionist told him that someone picked up his wallet on the street, saw the paperwork stating where he was residing, and came all the distance to fetch him the wallet. Everything stayed in tact! He was so thankful and always mention the event to this day. From then onward, he had changed his mindset about Chinese.

When I lost a jacket at London Gatwick airport a few years ago I was asked to pay £20 plus VAT up front before they did the search with NO guarantee that it would be found!! A real rip off!

😅 someone nicked my Starbucks mug at MCO… I left it in the men’s room for a minute and it was gone by the time I went back to fetch it (within 5 minutes) I contacted L&F at MCO and apparently no one has turned it in… curious what would happen in China.

Call you number. If it's already been submitted to the lost and found, someone will likely answer it and give you instructions on how to get it back.

my mom lost her phone twice on taxi,and got it back without a problem. The 2nd time her lost phone was out of power and slipped to the floor unnotice. The taxi driver only found it when she finished to do.some cleaning. She helped to charge the phone and we were able to contact her the next day and she even drove for 40 mins to give the phone back.

No luck about it. The Chinese are incredibly honest. But You SHOULD ALWAYS carry at least 1 colour copy of the picture page. (Not to mention a USB stick with photos of all your luggage and contents) Get yourself a passport pouch on a lanyard you can put around your neck. . Question How did you get through immigration with no passport?

Don't want to be the guy, but you get this kind of lost and found in Heathrow as well, and pretty much airports all over the world. Though I lost my iPad in Heathrow, and they charged me £75 for recovering it.

A foreigner cannot go anywhere in China without a passport. Someone must accompany him to get his passport. What does it have to do with you who he go with?

Out of all the things to pay someone to say, why would you pay them to say Guangzhou airport lost and found is great 😂😂😂 My wife went with me, I was on a domestic flight which is why I didn't need to use the passport atter I landed, so didn't realise I'd left it on the plane
