It does, not saying the Argos complaints are invalid but I think there is a heavy misconception of what progress in Lost Ark is really like, I expected it would be slow (without whaling out) so Im glad my expectations were accurate

I've played a few Korean MMO's in the past, and I learned one fact, Rushing will only take you to a point where you can only wait for more content. 3 of my wow friends started Lost Ark with me, and each of us blitzed the story like a true G spammer should. All 3 of them hit 50 days before I did. I thought things were cool until one complained "It should be more American",(I think he was bitching about Honing rates) he didn't make it out of T1. The other two kept going until t3, when the second, a Paladin like me just dropped off. His complaint, "There's no content." He tapped out at 1355(the middle of the dead zone). The third, dropped off as well, but he made it to 1370, and had a few alts. I'd wager his reasoning was that our guild is pretty dead. Then, there's me. I took my time, and days off from the game, or I just alt+f4'd if I got bored... and I kept on going. Now as of this writing I'm 1380, with two alts in t3 and a third at 1060. Lost Ark isn't a sprint, or a relay, its a full effort decathalon fresh out of bed on a empty stomach, a slow painful climb to greatness.

dude thank you!!! the part about burning out resonates with me. i just rushed my first char to 50 and vern boosted my supposed main...and I'm feeling little hints about burning out. so it's nice to hear a real pro talk about taking it slow. i think a part of me wanting to "get ahead" is due to how enormously expasive this game is. it's overwhelming so the feeling of wanting to understand everything in endgame, which is the main selling point of the game(right? i giess?), gives me a bit of anxiety. anyway I'm just rambling now. thanks again, you're putting out great content

This kind of video is beyond useful, this kind of thing should be made known by Devs themselves. This is the only beginners guide that should exist tbh, just go 1-50 slowly to learn the game and enjoy it first, then watch this guide to understand end game stuff. Excellent video!

tbh zealambitions and sywo also told the community to chill out and take things slow. it is mostly the other western YT content creators that emphasize on rush and gear score.

i do notice the huge power gap on some classes that become good later on, like rn berserkers sorcs gunners just do great dmg meanwhile martial artist classes are kinda piss level. I am maining my Striker and have a sharpshooter for alt, it is what it is. I enjoy them and maybe at one point i'll be finally getting mvps :(

nah i'm gonna rush it cuz the economy drops fast and the only way to keep up is being at the highest minimal lvl of the abyss raid/dungeon. Literally leapstones are like 40 gold now from 250 a pop in just 5 days.

don't worry about wasting books, the game will eventually give you a ton through events. (I never had problems with it)

Watching this again after reaching the Argos stage and I chuckled at the "not even an hour" comment for how long it takes to complete Unas, Guardians and chaos. Doing 2 guardians in t1 and t2 can take an hour almost by themselves if you're unlucky with pugs. That's per character.

They are both okay to play, but I would play blade because it's better in the early games. but do play both and you can always choose mains later!

Your scale for difficulty feels more like a scale for time and resource investment. Not how hard the fights are once you have the gear to do them. Am I wrong about that?

It's resource + hard fights, if it's just fights hardness based scale might be higher or might be too personal preference.

When you say those classes get better when Valtan hard mode releases is that because of the set bonus that comes from Valtan hard? I'm playing red warlord and it's really fun right now, but I feel like I'm griefing if I don't play blue warlord which I don't find nearly as fun.

Do i understand it correctly that at a later stage you have to RNG level your equipment past +15 in order to hit the required itemlevel to engage the harder tiers? And there is no new equipment to start +0 from to reach the minimum itemlevel and have to keep going with the old equipment? Thats what i get from the chart?

+15 blue -> +6 legendary -> Orange keeps the +, -> 2nd Orange drops another + (ilvl1490), and then that gear +25 is the max ilevel atm. No need to worry to much at this point, focus getting that +15 on the 1302 gear on tier 3 and you should be good to go

Very great video, I will begin playing on Friday, I have a few thousand hours in PoE, Diablo, WoW, BDO, BnS etc. and Gunslinger caught my attention, but I am kinda curious about gunslinger early, since you said, your "Big" upgrades are months down the line, will gunslinger be worth the extra effort as a starter class? I don't mind high APM gameplay, but if I can just go berserker and click on 3 keys every so often and do more damage, it seems logical to swap to gunslinger later on, but I have no clue about the game, maybe you have some insights?

I think your plan is fine, sounds like you can just play gunslinger and even if it doens't work out for you, you will not be too late to change your decisions.

The 3 classes I like are Gunlancer, Destroyer, and Artillerist. Any of them bad for na release, for raids? I know Gunlancer is good forever at least!

I don't think I've seen a class that gets declined due to their "class" the classes with the worst image is reaper due to players being bad at it and dying all the time.

Can u explain that thing where u said if Ur gear score is above a certain amount u don't get rewards? I've noticed on Na servers if I out level the guardian raids I barely get anything Im not sure if I'm misunderstanding something thanks.

if your ilvl is too high you don't get rewards for lower level dungeons. Not quite sure how it's set up in NA but the gaps are pretty far. i.e 1325 abyss dungeon gives gold until 1415

as you talk , a lot of ppls try to find some decent build in NA release but that not the point , after watching your video and anything u can do is enjoy the game and do stuff like collect momoko or do quest for fun , rush is nothing

What to ask is why are scrappers and reapers not wanted and may be denied party spots in the super late game? For reaper my guess is its very squishy and always dies but scrapper seems like it has good damage and stagger/destruction while being relatively tanky (so they don't die often) so why does it get rejected from end game legion raids?

all classes are viable, just those classes tend to die a lot like reaper. My raid party has a scapper. I may said it too harsh but scrappers don't really get as rejected.

Reaper is not as bad, but its just so mechanically challebging + glass cannon to a point people dont take them to high level raids they have a very high death rate

You don't get Argos gold if you're above 1475... The mats equivalent of a 1415 character for a 3% chance of a gear upgrade... Man this progression is an absolute pyramid scheme! Let me ask you something - what do you personally get the most fun out of - A: playing several different classes in the game on a level of Kuku or Abrelshed or B: pushing for Abrelshed hard gate 5-6?

Enjoyed every minute of the explanation and i must say that it seems TOO BORING to do the same thing over and over (the endgame being more of the same too, just a hard mode), the game is awesome but i just don't find it as appealing, and to be repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again even if you say "every other mmo is the same", yes, but here feels much more repetitive even if its a different class than other mmos.

this does't motivate people to slow down, but rather demotivates them to keep playing instead. the idea of putting gear progression lock that steep for the same boss, but on harder difficulty, is almost like an insult to people's time. if this happens in the west, the game will die without question.
