Good short guide brother! I would recommend to change the normal skill chain. if u precast WC u can skip the SpinC. and use it only for repositioning. also if u use maelstrom into SA u skip some animation (like old Maelstrom->spacebar skip) so 7.8 sec combo with max att spd is WC->tranc->mael->SA->wind->turning->earth->BladeD.->Blitz->SA ->surge. ur windcut will be up and u can cycle perfectly with no waiting for trance.

I can recommend (my build) Polestar/Fallstar (Stardust tripod) instead of blade dance, you sacrifice some damage but you have the option of push immune tenacity that we lost from dark axel. Fallstar and Blade dance give roughly the same stacks and has the same amount of hold time with male+legend galewind. I personally rather have .8 seconds of push immune and garunteed stacks vs potentially getting knock out of cycle. Real raid scenario you have more advantages and cleaner cycles because you can greed with push immune. It also has less cd than blade dance so cd gems are cheaper.

i tested and it's slightly slower (the hold shows same timer but it takes longer for it to start cuz it has jumping animation) and around 10% less dmg and 1 less stack for higher stagger which is nice but push immune exists on turning slash for push patterns. it's OK but i don't see an upgrade sadly

Do you need to wait until the orbs are backup since there's a few second delay or can you instantly repress W because you know you've had more then 40 stacks.

Surge Orb has some little delay, if you did the surge at the right timing (More than 40). Fire the Surge and then press the Z right away. But don't try to push like ZZZZ, if you doing that, you might fire the surge at 0 stack. So, try to push it gently when you did the 40 ~ 60 surge.

I just built a Blade and was wondering where to start, I'm already playing LV Reaper and love its playstyle. Is there any reason you would recommend surge over RE?

Surge has a similar ceiling and floor to RE while having a lower tripod and gem investment.

I have an issue. Sometimes my orbs will not recharge fully to 3 , it will refund 1.5 or 2 or even less orbs to me after using surge. Does anyone know the reason?

Maybe because you did the surge at less than 40. You need to fire the surge more than at least 40, if you wish to get the whole orbs back.

how come no mass increase. I was watching this korean youtuber and he was saying surge, rc, am, grudge, mi, ad 1 is probs the best casue u get your attack speed from supports/feast. and how much dmg difference is there casue i'm planning on changing my engravings.

Uhm... I never heard of the using the Mass increase as a major engraving. Mass increase is like...mostly for the alt. Cause it's cheap. I'll try to find the mass increase engraving build, But personally, I've never heard of it that using the mass increase as a major build. Even the statistic site shows no mass increase too.

@@TKG___ it's supposed to be the very high ceiling build where they use 2 rage runes and surge in dark order window, but the atk speed slow is annoying and you always need feast + support to compensate for -AS

What I know about the Mass increase is.... Mass increase is okay to use it with the 97 stone. If not, I think it is less effective.

Surge is mostly dependant not on player but on luck. Cause there are too many Bosses patterns which you cannot predict and wait until they end because it leads to 5-10 seconds afk standing, which would be exactly the same with missing surge entirely. No matter how good you are - you always can screw up because of shitty game design at almost any moment except for several fixed mechs. Unfortunately Surge db feels like the game is not good enough to let it shine because of the bad and unfair to players AI of bosses and tons of random (including too much dps in your party because of which boss will be phasing before you'll be able to land 1-2 surges). And yeah, rework completely killed this archetype cause now you build stacks just a bit longer and miss good surge windows because of that. They really need to fix it because it starts to be playable only with 2-4 lvl 9 gems and 1600+ gearscore, doing almost all content before that feels like attempt to eat soup with a fork.
