My lifelong dream!! You are amazing! When I was a kid I used to have books and books detailing everything that happened in the game. I was super fascinated with the history and timeline. I even made a giant binder detailing the history of the games, carried it everywhere. I put everything in storage and one day hoped to reread it but came to find out my father threw it all away. But anyhoo I’m so very glad and happy at how well your documentary is. Please continue your amazing work.

@russellcampbell3500 I was always a major horror fan. I came across RE in a gamepro magazine somewhere in 1996. But at the time, I was 11 or 12, so my mother was like "Rated M? No sir" lol. It wasn't until RE2 came out in '98 that I finally got to play: thanks to a friend lending a copy of the game. I was hooked ever since. RE2 captured my soul because I was a zombie fan to begin with, and the game being set in a city really spoke to me, because at the time, I lived in NYC, and often wondered what it would look like if zombies attacked the city.

I don’t know how you found some of them, like tthe quote “we haven’t found them in the woods yet,” and the other real life clips around the the deaths of the hikers, was as good as a documentary you’d see on the bistory channel and MUCH better than what you’d see on true crime. Keep going with your stuff buddy, you have a gift. Thanks for sharing it with me.

Dear Miranda, My deepest apologies for not meeting you in person. I would love nothing more than to visit your quaint village once more, however, I am incredibly busy. Then again, I suppose for an immortal woman such as yourself, you no longer remember this poor half-dead medical student in the snow. I have always cherished the revelations I came to 15 years ago when I stayed in your village. I was inspired by your research. To think, one could transform a human by infecting them with an organism. Positively visionary. I know that with that knowledge I could achieve my own vision for the next step in human evolution. Even after two world wars, and humanity on the cusp of another, my conviction never wavered. I realised, however though the many nights of intellectual talks you and I shared, that your conviction differed from mine. You hoped to bring back a single dead person. While I aimed to change the world. Your experiments on the mold would not have aided me in my endeavor to achieve an exponential infection. I thought a virus would be more effective. This is why, my dear, I had to leave you. I will regret never telling you goodbye. My apologies for reminiscing, I actually have news that I thought might please you. I have found the key to evolution! The "progenitor," a virus found in Africa. I plan to start a company with friends and colleagues, dedicated to the virus' research. I will call it Umbrella. Just like the symbol in the cave that we spoke about. I am one step closer to making my vision a reality. I hope you will be able to achieve your goal someday, too. You taught me so much and for that I will be forever in your debt. Sincerely, your life-long student, Oswell E. Spencer

You forgot Spencer’s near death experience in Romania. There, Spencer meets Mother Miranda, who saved him from hyperthermia. Miranda showed Spencer the Mold and cadou. Spencer was thrilled when he saw this. But after many nights of intellectual talks, Spencer learned that Miranda only had interests in resurrecting her daughter, who died to the Spanish Flu in 1919, while Spencer had interests in creating a perfected human race. But Miranda’s experiments with the Mold and cadou laid the groundwork for Umbrella Corporation.
@Vipersfury86Gaming4 ай бұрын
This is indeed true. But like some of the topics, we didn't Include every minute detail due to time constraints, but also, we have future projects coming out that will specifically cover topics like Umbrella's founding, that way we can dedicate an entire video to getting the entire backstory out there in this style!
@SergalCheeseHead3 ай бұрын
Realistically I doubt Spencer would go into details about what happened in Romania, so nobody outside of him and a few close associates would know.(and Chris after RE8) I'd think he'd respect Miranda enough to not want people knowing about her little closed off village, nor what she was doing there. That and citing Miranda's activities as being his inspiration would not be a good public look for him or the company he was trying to build.

A little clarity on a particular topic we see coming up in comments: whether it was right or wrong to describe the destruction of Raccoon being done by a nuclear weapon. You, the viewer, are watching this as if the Raccoon City incident was a real thing, and that you have been kept in the dark about the events. That would also include the film makers. Looking at the Canon events, it was LATER (years after the original RE3 released) described that it was confirmed to be an "experimental Thermobaric/ thermostatic weapon" that was used to destroy the city. But, when you watch the end of the original RE3, and the media reports in RE: Degeneration, it's described as nuclear: most likely because, if it was indeed an experimental weapon, the public would not have been informed about this. Just as well, most civilians see a mushroom cloud and automatically think nuclear. To add to the confusion, RE: Outbreak and Outbreak File 2 show the city being hit with multiple missiles, while the other games only show one. So, we decided to present the information the same way the in game media presented it, as nuclear. This is to give the notion that even to this day, the exact weapon used was never disclosed. Of course, we here in real life know what was actually used. But if this were a real event, we probably wouldn't have been told about a weapon that's supposed to be a secret. Because, you know, national security and what-not. The enthusiasm about this topic is actually awesome to us. Because this debate would probably be happening in the fictional RE world as well, among people who understand how nukes/WMDs work. And so, certain mysteries still persist in the growing RE universe 😊
@printisdead19837 ай бұрын
How would it be wrong, it was , it was literally totally and utterly obliterated by said destructive device
@printisdead19837 ай бұрын
A thermobaric bomb creates an explosion but creates a vacuum of sorts it also turns everything in its path into shrapnel ,it had to be a nuke , cannon should be established in og that whole "retro-fitting"cannon should be blasphemy That was def a nuke
@printisdead19837 ай бұрын
When did they call it a thermobaric, lemme guess RE5 or re6? , and i hate to say it everything from 7 on isnt real re not to me , hell i almost dont even consider re4 real re its not a man made virus its a parasite,and the threat doesnt even connect to the first ones or to umbrella in anyway , umbrella just wants the parasite ,and five ,five is def not really an re game , its like a damn coin op action game .6 is just ridiculous (but actually super fun definitely much more fun than five, i did like how they connected 7 and 8 to the og trilogy, but at the same time, the company was founded to use the fungus, but no one ever knew of said fungi And supposedly its one of the main catalysts of the t virus or what have you, its doesnt make sense, dont get me wrong the idea is kinda cool but its like how in the new ghostbusters they tried to say ray of all ppl didnt believe egon that a demi god they had all fought, and didnt kill just sent back to where it came from would be coming back, you mean to tell me he not only believed his bestfriend but also the guy that proved ghosts are real and that you can contian them on TOP OF devising and building all the tech used to do so, you mean ray didnt believe that guy, naw ,weak huge plot hole,
@Vipersfury86Gaming7 ай бұрын
@printisdead1983 Aside from the OG RE3 director stating it was an "experimental Termobaric weapon" that was used, I think it's referred to as such on one other, later game. We just stuck with the nuclear explanation, since several games and the CGI movies call it that. And, if this were a real event, and an experimental, secret weapon was used, we wouldn't have been told that's what it was. Moat people see a mushroom cloud and think Nuclear anyhow. I'm not as big of a fan of the later series: I love RE in general but the OG 3 games/ Raccoon City timeline is my absolute favorite thing. I wanna give the whole series some videos but I could also do a ton more on just this stuff alone.
@printisdead19837 ай бұрын
@@Vipersfury86Gaming im right there with ya on the og 3 ,so it was an experimental thermo bomb, well then they could expand on that anyway they wanted , like oh its a thermo bomb BUT its this ,this and that too, so ok if the director says it is then ok but if the creator says nuke, i say nuke then

I find the first 3 games in the RE timeline so fascinating when translated to a real life scenario. In the games you play either as a character that has some degree of combat training or/and survival skills like herbal medicine preparation and such. But we never get to see (outside of outbreak) the real extent of the horrors that everyday people went through, like a mother taking the kids to school on a September morning and all of a sudden gets surrounded by a mob of zombies or a guy on his way home from work and suddenly a Licker or Drain Deimos lands on his car attracted by the fast movement and noise. I see at least 95% of us die hard fans dying horribly in a situation like that and while it's terrifying, it's kind of really interesting at the same time.
@Vipersfury86GamingАй бұрын
@coldflamepr you hit the nail on the head with what we were trying to show. Like you said, in the series, we play as some hero-type, which is where the majority of focus lies, making it easy to forget that this was an ordeal that over 100,000 people dealt with for seven days. We had to do alot of research into developer interviews to get the full scope of what went on in the city behind the stories we see in the games.

@@TheKing8608_all the more reason to bring him back. But, looking at it from a legal standpoint, all evidence of his crimes were never clear and were wiped out during the outbreak meaning a court of law would most likely not convict him due to lack of evidence

You actually got D.C. Douglas to participate in this documentary of yours? Even if it’s just an A.I. bot with his iconic Wesker voice, that’s some serious dedication to the craft, bro. 😊

omg I wish haha! No, we just used snippets from the original and remade Wesker Reports (Reports 1 and 2). They can be kind of hard to find, physically, but you can find those reports on KZbin in their entirety. The D.C. Douglas report came out around the time of Code Veronica, and the second report was released around the time of RE 5.

you'd think with deep lore like this they would have made a Tell-tale type of game on the incident by now ......
@Vipersfury86Gaming7 ай бұрын
They could make a ton of games or CGI films surrounding these events, most especially with there being 2 other towns right around Raccoon City.

I love that you used Mad World piano instrumental as the intro. Very fitting for RE imo. Both, lyrically and musically, since most RE saferoom themes also heavily feature melancholic piano progressions.

there is so much lore outside of the games I never knew of any of the other cities towns ect
@Vipersfury86Gaming7 ай бұрын
There is A LOT of lore surrounding the whole Raccoon City incident. This is mostly because the lore surrounding all that was written over time. When the first three games came out, they didn't really flesh out the story or world that much. It wasn't until they remade the first game, that they went back and connected alot of plot holes and changes. The Outbreak titles also contain a staggering amount of lore, but because those games never took off like the rest of the series, that lore never saw a lot of attention. Hence why a film like this was necessary! Glad you're enjoying it!

This was well done and minced the story together for people who wouldn’t understand. Good job.
